Don't get me long, I love Warp. I dig Aphex Twin, and Autechre just rocks my world. BUT Warp is a relatively small label when compared to the big guys out there. Sure, I'll trust Warp and gladly fork over the cash for the music, but if Warner Brothers was doing the exact same thing, would we still be so quick to sing praise? Everytime a major label does anything we raise eyebrows and wonder what deviant scheme the bastards have come up with.
IMHO Bleep is great, but it's still just one label out of hundreds, of which only a few really matter to the masses -- and those few are still charging around $15 for a CD.
When I was in grade school, I refused to recite the pledge for various reasons. The administration threatened to suspend me, but after a few threats at law suits they calmed down. Everyone, even kids under 18, have the rights granted in the Bill of Rights.
A course web page places strain on professors or TAs to maintain the thing. It's harder to teach a technophobic teacher HTML than it is to say "put everything in that directory over there." Then again if it's taking until 2005 to make this thing, it raises a few questions.
Crap, my best on Expert is 51. I've never been able to get under that. On the other hand, my best on "beginner" is 2, and on "intermediate" a quite-respectable 17. I'm just glad to know there are other people out there more addicted/good at this game than me.

Without Academia, there'd be no BSD.
Interetsing point, but why a space launch?
What's the difference between people hacking up GameCubes and hacking up Chevy's? It's all just for hobby.
