You might be afoul of the law. I'm not sure, but I think a dad giving his kid a playboy might count as "corruption of a minor", at least in the states.
As an aside, the only redeeming feature of the cruddy hollywood godzilla movie ("plot DOES matter") was the scene where someone was talking about the old japansese man who saw big G. This guy says something like "it's gojira, some stupid reported misheard it as 'Godzilla' and it stuck"
ah. Yeah. I was just thinking that someone (such as myself) who wasn't in great shape is likely to hurt themselves using that many 'fast twitch' muscles...
A lot of games require several moves of the joystick per second (fighting combos, etc). How many folks, even in great shape, can make gross (as opposed to fine) motions that fast?
I'm a tall guy. Even if I was skinny, I'd be 200 lbs. That's a LOT of weight to move quickly, without hurting myself...
I will watch 3 to see what the entire point of the series is: the fall of A Good Kid (tm) into Vader. There's some inherent interest in getting the 'whole' story.
Successors to Jedi don't have any such story... The good guys wons an (apparently) conclusive victory.
(Incidently, I don't think I and II really sucked. They were OK, but suffered from the fact that Lucas seems to be making movies just to bust out f/x. The acting/dialog in the first 3 wasn't so great either.... nostalgia gives it a HUGE boost)
Look mate, I've seen it (both filming in person and videos clearly shot from seat in the middle of the theatre).
Do employees do some of this? Yeah, quite a bit. That doesn't mean that a lot of consumers aren't doing it either. I don't say this because I'm brainwashed, I say it because I'm bloody observant.
I would venture that way too many thefts are justified around here based on half-assed economic theories and a sense of persecution. Perhaps a less paranoid/arrogant outlook is in order?
Do companies do shitty things? Yeah, all the time. Does this justify retaliating in kind?
No, screeners have always been thought to be leaked from within (who else has 'em?).
Downloaders are consuming, not producing. And it is a fact that lots of folks film movies in the theatres. The fact that an actor leaked a trailer doesn't change that.
Ah, america has lost it's share of missions too. As someone from NASA said about Beagle 2, it's a long damned way to go and you have to expect some failures.
The US does have a couple of decades more experience than most countries, I'd wager this is more of a factor than some generic scientific, um.... betterness.

Not the same, no. But considering the possibility that an exploit based on a standard is a good idea.
When it comes to concepts like security, it often helps to also consider similar scenarios, not just exact matches.

yup. About an inch taller than me, as a matter of fact. I'd guess that he was about 220.
And professional ATHLETES aren't exactly the target for this thing, you know?

you call it 'deveil's advocate', I call it logic :)
You are, of course, correct. I shouldn't have said "translation", maybe "soundalike" would have been better.
"Godzilla" is a poor translation to english. The original japanese name sounded like "Gojira". It's entirely possible the dude was playing on that.
Ah, the courage and wisdom of AC.
Wuss. I hold my hand near the ethernet cable and use induction to surf the web...

Well, there's stuff that linux just can't do yet (certain classes of software, lots of hardware), so it pays to have both, especially on a laptop.
That's why I run XP (blech, but there are no 2K drivers) and FC1
Heh. I love it when folks try to make a valid argument (and fairly succesfully), then ruin it with a cheap anonymous insult :)

Over a movie? I think not.
Um.... the laws of probability?
Nonsense. A, uh, friend... saw a screener (complete with 'Don't copy this' crawl for LOTR:FOTR a coupla years back, long before it was on DVD.

The higher dimensions weren't ever specified, although someone (Bowman I think) did observe higher dimensions.
Unless this is in 3001, which I only read once and am trying to forget.
10 psi isn't fatal! Maybe a bit uncomfortable, but you're not gonna croak outright.
Well, perhaps, but the problem (at least from a Democratic POV) is the poor representation of the party, not the voting machine.
Oh shush. the horse is dead. Beating it is not gonna accomplish anything.
Nah, Alphas are typically expected to be buggy... they might work, but haven't been hardened against hacks, network glitches, stupid users...
Betas are supposed to be functional, 'lets find the last few problems' kinda releases. Release candidates are high quality beta relases, usually.
well, it'd get most geeks off... dunno 'bout getting laid...
Near my apartment is a place called MicroSemi, with a distinctly MS look to the logo... Check out the website
