me thinks the "blogger" is just trying to maintain or increase traffic to her site - thinking she's somewhat important.
One interesting tidbit is that she works for Pownce. I do know that this harassment started before she worked for Pownce. Yet I do see that the conflict of interest is in there now if she continues to press her case. She is free to close her twitter account and utilize pownce fully.
Can all this tech stuff prevent truckers from swinging in front of me in the left lane when there's no one behind me for miles?
And then they would proceed to take forever to pass the slower vehicle and move back in the right lane so I can finally move on.
I will mind if they translate this opinion into a form of policy to restrict our ability to develop open source and limit our choices in other areas of the computing world.
with the proliferation of online videos which are great - however it feels like I'm back in the 1970's with the lack of closed captions.
Many deaf and hoh feel this way and luckily we are working to deal with this problem.
Would be nice if South Park pioneered the captioning of videos though like Spelling did with his shows in the 80's.
The benefits are enormous and there's no downside.
coupled with the recent success of a satellite refueling another satellite in space.
Can see a satellite change its capability in space from one job function to another and get a boost in fuel to stay up there long term.
that Jobs just didn't think too much of the new laptop within his reality distortion field.
His keynote speech seemed less enthusiastic than it was in the past especially compared to last year with the iPhone
Perhaps Jobs saw the new notebook as another product to fill in the notebook offerings from Apple. I also sensed he was more into Apple TV and the rental scheme.
Or perhaps I've built up a barrier against his reality distortion field.
How do you know if "more and more schoolkids are using these as a substitute for learning or thinking for themselves?"
Can you cite any reference?
To me it seems that at least they are looking up answers on their own and there's always a possibility that they would research the answers further via google or any other sources.
I trust human nature.. no it's not perfect but I think lot of people will survive even with Yahoo! Answers.
That should set off alarm bells in your head. A lot of his columns lately have been filled with nothing but pure speculation based on nothing but gut feeling or reading tea leaves.
I tend to ignore his columns when he goes off like that. If he talks about upcoming technology then I'll read it.
Privacy Advocates = One law professor in Israel.
So where are the "raised eyebrows among privacy advocates worldwide" ?
Like many people have said in this thread - don't like it, don't use it.
I would look into this - is it as crazy as it was back then?
I don't see many IPO's with paper millionairs appearing overnight and going bust just as fast. Nor I see many massive hiring of naive and unskilled workers with inflated salaries.
I'm sure the latter is still happening but I don't see it on the scale we saw in the 90's.
So if there's a bust - I don't think it'll have a big impact as it did back then. I could be wrong though.
that goes on the top, left side, and bottom of the page declaring the site eto be "iPhone Friendly".
I would add a feature where the user touches the banner on the screen, it acts like a iPhone with swiped scenes left and right and so on.
Cool.
We'll just plug in the atari joystick and use it to break the encryption easily.
Behold the power of the mighty Atari joystick.

I see the Puritan influences is still pervasive and strong in this country regarding our bodies.

someone better patent rewards such as free beer for long bathroom waits.

My concern with Netflix and iTunes rental is closed captioning.
I contacted both and it seems the movies are not captioned and they do not know if it'll be in the near future.
Arghhh.. back to the drawing board.
Be still my heart
"hacker tested" icons we see all over at various e-commerce sites then?

For a moment I thought it was from The Onion ..
Everything Microsoft has done is just funny (Balmer's dances, Zune Squirt, and this)..
Who needs The Onion when we got Microsoft

While I won't use Safari on Windows much, I do welcome the addition.
I like to see the browser market filled with different choices so people can decide for themselves what they want.
After all I do not want to go back to the days when there were not much to choose from. So the more the merrier.
Just hope Apple will remain committed and see the beta version evolve to a working, vibrant browser.
