  1. yet another phone on the market on Review of Windows Mobile 6-Based "Wing" · · Score: 1

How many is Tmobile offering? 50? 100?

When will these phone companies start to think about simplfying their phone product line. Make it at most 5 phones
That way they can focus on support, better quality phones, etc.

What's scary is the apparent passivity among the denizens of UK regarding this. I have not read anything about a mass protest, organized groups to put in elected officials opposed to this, etc. Seems the majority of the people over there are resigned to this type of watching. Shows that it will probably happen over here too as well as we copy from the Brits.

I doubt this is any different than people develop attachment to boats, airplanes, cars, etc. I'll consider it a serious problem if they start dressing up the bots with wigs, lipstick, dresses, and taking them out dancing.

Why do we need the MAINSTREAM MEDIA to "inform" us? We need a better grassroots-based effort to get the message out that our CONgress is hopelessly out of touch and completely in the pockets of corporate masters. http://unity08.com/ is one such example. We need more efforts like this to get everyone organized and assemble to address our grievances towards our current government like the original Framers did. But will the average American public care? That's the big question.

The sad part is not the fact the Gov't is doing this to us. The sad part is the average American does not care about where our gov't is heading. It will only get worse until they realize the Gov't is going too far in their zeal to stamp out drugs/terrorism/whatever. Hopefully it won't be too late.

  19. this country is strange on Driving Away Teens With High Frequency Noise · · Score: 4, Insightful

Why is this country so anti-teenager? We got the "coveted marketing demographics" of late teen to young adult that the tv networks and pretty much a lot of companies go for. Yet as a group, teenagers sure are very ostracized, looked down, and picked on. I'm sure there are some bad seeds but for the vast majority, I'm sure there are good kids. You got all these anti-cruising laws, school crackdowns, and now this. Shouldn't we be cherishing and nuturing them instead? I'm sure the Army would like to use this device to get them shepherded to the nearest recuriting office.
