...I say to myself "Self, this has to be a sick joke. Or some kind of mistake." Then myself answers back; "Oh no, this is no mistake. This is what they do with your tax dollars." Then I take another pill.

You won't have to save long. I think Vista has got to be the first product release that will have over 6 "service packs" ready for it before the shrink wrap went on the GA.

And...? You think that means you don't have a credit history either? Think again, tiny consumer.
Instead of names and titles, I believe that in the coming corporateaucracy (or, One World Government, if you prefer) we will all be referred to by our Equifax Credit File Numbers.
Won't that just be easier?

Will they? I suppose many will, but remember the woeful update rate for XP? Seems to me like I remember it taking for ever (and Microsoft complained about this, how I remember) for corporates to upgrade to XP.
Less news than the Y2K issue, if anyone remembers that. With probably about the same amount of impact. I'm not Mockapetris, but I do a lot of DNS configuring and client programming, and my hunch is that; as hideous as any M$ product is to me, the impact of Vista's DNS/Bind client impl will not even be noticable.
Besides, it would be reckless to give out a possibly
valid ip, its like 555 phone numbers in America, no
number with a 555 prefix is valid, so they use it in
films alot.
He didn't need to make it work, it worked. Works. He needed money around the turn of the century to finish his dream of wireless electrical power delivery to all of New York, which remained uncompleted. Cancer from power lines is a bunch of pish btw.

Right. If you can't afford Little Suzy's medicine, she dies, and ts. End of story.
Laugh now. Believe later, consumer #349023875.

1) I, for one, won't be "upgrading" to Vista anytime soon.
2) It won't kill off iptables
3) I can't believe people still use iptables.
Har!
See sub.

I wouldn't after watching Arrested Development.
Xcdroast! OMG what a pos. I would have to agree with you there.
