The United States and the MPAA are responsible for N. Korea being in the dark ages?

Agreed. Clearly, "data binding" can occur without resorting to any Microsoft technology, or is he trying to say that Microsoft invented "data binding", whatever that is exactly. I really doubt it.
I have in fact written a csv data file driver class in Java. Rather trivial actually.
This is why intelligent OSS fans use Google and not Yahoo. Never have, never will. And I implore my less-IT knowledgeable friends and family to use Google mail. Unfortunately they often opt-out explaining that they are used to Yahoo, even after I explain the myriad reasons NOT to use Yahoo (Word virus ease-of-use, msg tail adds, whatever else I can think of). It would be good for Google to write a Yahoo-Google Mail transition page for these people.
Interesting. Hard to believe becuase that would require the use of creativity, since is very little material from either John R. R. Tolkien or his son Christopher regarding the time between the end of the 2nd Age and the Quest of Mt. Erebor (the Hobbit). Hollywood is such a creative wasteland. Maybe they can do what they always do and steal it from some talented writer.
How do you figure? If you use a mis-spelled domain and buy a cert for the same, and then as a customer not notice the mis-spelling, what good does ssl do you?
> The US has control over the parts of the Internet that's within the USA
Whether you agree or not; I think our current control of several key root servers not on US soil and TLD registration that the EU wants us to let go of.
You've nothing of meaning. Just a non-supported, off-topic opinion. And so your view of the topic at hand is what, exactly? What is your opinion of a China-controlled internet for example?
If you didn't like the news today go out and make some of your own.
Ok. The problem with this is: if "your" Govmt blocks it, why write it? Whta good does it fdo to make your own when ther means of production is really owned by the people who are not "the people"?
If a select group of people can control what you say, are you really free?
What the hell, exactly, are you talking about?
Yeah, I saw that and thought that might be of help to some one. There's got to be more client guis for MySql out in the wild though. My is like the most popular OS rdbms around.
Agreed. Marriage is hard work. I'm happily married. I was lucky however to find someone with whom I find attractive, has many of the same ideas I have, who is supportive and caring. Its hard to do. As for blame; don't go there. Blame is worthless. Just deal with the situation and get on with your life and your son, as much as the law will allow. Family law is heavily skewed toward the mother. I probably don't have to tell you that.
Well, they had a hard time coming up with a decent brand; rejected names include 'FUBAR', 'Xyzzy', and '0wn3d'. They rejected 'h@x0R3d' out of hand for some reason.
Of all the things that a supposed "technology" company has on its to-do list...
Besides, wouldn't the ubiquitous-ness of a brand word be more helpful to a company rather than locking the verbiage down so tightly you can't let slip a syllable for fear of a lawsuit? For example, where would Apple be if Xerox had patented the word 'mouse', or 'desktop'?

Huh? Like, the old print media has a choice? Or are you advocating the luddite approach?
The times thay are a-changing, regardless of what the RIAA would have you believe.

Right. More properly, they are forks off of the FreeBSD branch of BSD 4.2 Light. We would do well to recognize where all this comes from. I'm frequently amazed by the number of noobs who have no idea about the BSD kernel.
You are of course correct. The thing about BSD however, is it claims to be homogenous. That is; its similar to Japan. Everyone in Japan speaks one language: Japanese. BSD propoents claim the same thing, more or less. If its not clear look at the history of the 'ps' command on the BSD code line.
"We locked 10 BSD programmers in an IT room for one week
with one distribution of BSD. When we came back, we found
all the programmers dead with their hands around each others
throats, and 12 new flavors of BSD."
Its an impractical question since you (almost) in every way, shape, and form have both if you have one. Its just as simple as telling some one that they can have either the cure or the hypdermic, but not both. One without the other doesn't make sense. Move along, nothing to see here.

How about geometry and graphing for graphics engineers? I found the stuff I learned in the lower division math supremely useful in game design.

And on that note I wonder if this url is available in China:

This doesn't fully explain the situation (as noted by the linked article), but it does at least provide a bit more info:

Damn the Republicans! They are responsible for this.
