Lets not forget a recent case in the states that got some press becuase a cab driver left some dna on a patron who was later murdered. The cabbie was of course jailed, and for quite some time, until the actual perp was caught.
Any government that would use already tight (name a Gov. that isn't under the monetary gun right now) public funds to blanket over 8000 men in an attempt to find one murderer is not a smart government and not one I would care to support. You people nodding in the affermitive are pound foolish. Then after spending all that money to gather the samples they say the samples will be thrown out. You people are dreaming.
I don't think its impossible to violate. I think its violated all the time. Usually by opressive governments.

British shows don't travel across the Atlantic so well, so their comedy often has to be translated into an American version where the jokes are spelled out more explicitly to fit with American humour.
You sound like an American tv producer, not an American. Me and most of my friends prefer Britcoms to Sitcoms; example, the Office. British version far superior in every way. So stick your "American humour" up you know where.
THIS is why I continually question the way "free speech" (it really isn't) is implemented in the UK. You people are completely crackers and and have NO IDEA why its so important.
Contractor/Vendor: "Here is a hammer. Its use for driving nails. YOU MAY NOT use it to murder people. Understand? No murdering." Government: "Ok. No murdering."
Its not, this is a non story, except it may shine as an annoying beacon of truth to Apple that tablets people want can be had for half the price they want to charge for theirs.
Been running Linux as a laptop os since 1997, and I've not touched Windows or MacOS since. Far from having problems, I've had an excellent run. Far fewer than with Windows, and as for MacOS...? Its helps if your 'book has Intel hardware, I'll grant you that.
No. The US is sitting on the largest oil reserves in the world. We aren't taping them due to regulation and environmental concern (really stategic interest, don't be fooled). IF foriegn reserves were to run out then (and they won't, foriegn reserves are estimated to be good well passed this century) congress would demand our reserves be opened up which would carry us way into the next. I believe current thinking is that we'll have figured out a way off of oil by then.
There are a few 16 bit platforms that obviously can't use GCC, so maybe most, but not all. Sometimes 32 bits are simply to wide for some embedded projects.
I fall more in the, "if you didn't do anything wrong you have nothing to worry about" camp.
Good, then you'll be easier to find. Put all the sheep in one camp and shave 'em all in one go. I think big Gov. will enjoy doing business with you.
Use Qt. I have never seen a better designed and documented API.
Seconded. Qt seems to address most of the issues raised here.

Windows excels at certain things, Active DIrectory, and running .net apps...
Newsflash: can opener right tool for the job of opening cans, clip at 11.
my iGoogle page has been my default homepage for at least 8 years, now... sh*t.
Apple also has no "non over-priced" products.
And that's my show for tonight folks. Catch me on Comedy Central.
...given the security structure of iOS and how it limits multitasking to certain scenario...
And Macs don't get viruses I suppose...

not an impossible-to-violate core component of society.
And this is where you types consistantly miss the point and obviously don't get it.

Frankly, I don't see the problem.

You do not have a legal right to do absolutely anything you want.
Your tagline is not enlightening, witty, or interesting.
Sinnlos ablehnen.
Imagine, two suns, a HUGE GIANT moon (the planet) taking half the sky, and other moons visible as well.
Several classic fanatasy & sci-fi novel covers come to mind with your description.

No, oil. Anwar.
it's going to be "fuck-the-world-we-need-our-delivery-trucks-to-work" coal gasification.
No. It's going to be "...oh, out of oil are you...? Well, we have some right here..."
Not in 2025.. The oil would have run out by then.

A corporation is guaranteed to have its own interests trump yours.
A corporation is not in business for your interests. Your love-hate relations ship with business is whats kiling you chaps.
By all means. By means extrodinary. Means inculpate. Means are extended to you as well. Best regards.
Or they will until the tort system is crippled for killing jobs and crippling free enterprise.
Oh, there'a a system; a paragon of justice... What a joke.
