Just let it go. As a geek patheticism, insisting on the use of the word "cracker" over "hacker" is starting to rank up there with wearing one's plastic Vulcan ears out in public.
You mean that's not normal? No wonder I was getting such strange looks...
NASA's spending millions of dollars to put these things in space, so why don't they host it on a server (which they definitely could afford) that won't get slashdotted?
I didn't mean to sound like I regretted my AiBook purchase in the last post, and now I even happier
Sweet! Can't wait to get my hands on one... Wonder how much they are...
Hehe... Exact same scenario here. Compare my notes before and after I started using my iBook. The ones afterwards are much better. The only problems are every so often in math and science, when I have to draw something. About the equation thing, OS X's Equation Editor works great.
D1 was also the same. Could it be the game genre you don't like? All Action RPG's I know is click-die. When they start having more RPG elements, the "Action" part of the genre is usually dropped.
What about PlanetSide? An MMORPG that's been combined with an FPS. Looks good, but my computer isn't good enough to run it.:(
Why buy a Zire when you can buy a refurbished Clie SL-10 for 80 bucks from Sony? It's got 4 times the ram, the processor is twice as fast, the display has 4 times the resolution, it's got a lot more bundled apps, and it's got a memory stick slot (I'd rather have SD/MMC, but it's better than nothing). Or a Palm m105 for the same price? Or maybe a Visor Neo for a buck more? How about a refurbished Clie S360 for 15 bucks more? I'd rather have any of those over the original Zire.
If this goes down in price enough, people in poorer countries could get tested for cancer! And if this could be adapted for other diseases, all the better!
Looks like they're planning on using 802.11b... Wouldn't there be range issues? I'm assuming these villages are a decent distance from each other or wherever they could get a transceiver...
If they managed to refine this enough, could we be seeing nanotube displays some time in the future? And how would the power drain compare to that of an LCD or OLED display?
Yeah, they gave it a pretty bad review... *digs out his (subscribed) PCG* They gave it a 72%. Here's the final verdict:
Highs: Gorgeous graphics; high production values; cool new weapons; expansive level design
Lows: Cookie-cutter storyline; redundancy in mission objectives; occassionally just plain dull.
Bottom line: Pretty to look at, but it doesn't have a lot going on upstairs.
The review's in the April 2003 issue...

Driving while reading the news or doing other stuff? Oh, I think it'll be the next killer application...

How about his home address?
Yes, but does it run Linux?

Generally I save my fake swordfighting (including fake sounds made by him!) for off camera, where I can't be seen... I'm scared now...
You mean the Coleman ones? I had one of those, and it didn't work *at all*. It may have actually attracted the insects...
It's not gone, they just combined it with the Children's Museum...
Once again, an article from a major paper calls crackers "hackers"...
Yeah, it does justify it. The NY Times requires a membership, and I'm too lazy to sign up for it, even if it is free.
If they are... Quick! Everyone buy XBoxes!
Yeah, compiling KDE took me a day or two on my P4... It's slow, but worth the wait.
Must be smart rats they're serving it off... Hasn't been slashdotted yet...
Wow... 120 FPS higher than the 256 meg 9800 Pro in Q3A at 1600x1200 with 4x AA and 8x ansiotropic filtering... *drool*

Don't they need to have the farm animals reproduce?
He's set up a redirect or something to a page with tubgirl. You have been warned.

Yes, but the other ones also have the apps the Zire comes with...
