Friday night is probably about just as bad as any other night on UPN.
Personally I never believed they would cancel it anyway. Lets face it, UPN without Trek would be like Comedy Central without John Stewart. Its their identity (well that and Moesha spin-offs)
I remember when UPN first started braodcasting, they pimped Voyager hard for about 6 months before. I don't remember anything else from that first season lasting more than a year or two. I'm not a trekker by any means but I was watching DS9 at the time and thought it was really cool, so I had some hope for Voyager during the first season, just like I did Enterprise, but eventually you have to admit when something sucks big hairy ones.
the only thing I miss about New York is not having to drive anyway (well and St. Marks) Living in California Bay Area is a pain in the ass. Too many bridges and tunnel and freeways. Public Transport sucks the big one
maybe when the big one hits they can start over and build these cities with some sanity.
I've always wondred about those "recling" cycles. Are the more effecient or something? I personally think they look incredibly silly, but what do I know I ride a bike with one gear ratio.
The most interesing thing I've seen come out of bike designis the past couple of years was a freestyle montain bike with the drivetrain inside of the frame. Jeep also tried an all wheel drive bike a few years back which I thought was kind of silly (just lift you front whell over the rock fool). But al teas they're trying to innovate.
yeah, wasn't ther an article on/. a few days back that prettymuch disputed this claim. I'm not enough of an audiophile to care, but I would the author would know his stuff.
The vast majority of the (American) population lives in cities and have never been into any kind of backcountry. The whole idea of Hikining/Backpacking in a National park is that if you screw up really badly some Rangers have got your back. This is why the maintain trails, make campgrounds, sells maps dig water holes etc. So those relatively inexperienced umoung us can experience the outdoors without the having to hire our own personal Mountainman.
Its not just about getting lost. What if there's a Forest Fire? Freak Rainstorm, Bear attack. There are a lot of things that can happen out in the woods no matter how careful or experienced you are.
I get paid $15 and hour to do research. But here's and easy experiement. Go out onto the street pick 25 people at random and ask them if they've ever heard of TechTV or G4.
Thats just the thing. I can't afford to run 1 gig now much less 2 gigs. RDRAM is too goddamn expensive. A pair of 512's will literally cost me more than half of what I paid for the computer in the first place.
I was hoping that the price would decrease over time, so by the time I really started feeling the crunch of running 512MB I'd be able to buy some RAM without paying crack prices. But now this.
I've heard of that. That's the energy generated when when two three-year olds of equal mass, deprived of afternoon naps, collide in the vincinity of the last available hot wheels car...
One good (bad) thing I can say about Andromeda is that it excelled at shark jumping. Too many characters for one thing. While some shows can make that work (Firefly) Andromeda didn't seem to have the budget (or the writing talent) to have all the characvters in each episode. Also whats the point of having a ship staffed by thousands if 6 and an AI can do the job just as well. I could go on and on, but I'd rather go to bed...
"Mutant X" has a series total of three seasons and 66 episodes
That's 67 episodes (I'm fining them an extra one...) too many as far as I'm concerned. Andromeda was just barely watchable and only because I of Keith Hamilton Cobb's (Tyr Anasazi) overacting while he was still there. I tuned in to see just how much he would ham it up this week.
Mutant X on the other hand was unexcusably horrible on all levels.
Sci-Fi Channel must be kicking themselves in the ass. The passed on Firefly to get a show whose studio goes belly-up before they even air an original episode.

somehow I don't think so though...
Thats like guys who spend $400 on a (fake) platinum and diamond Rolex.
I built my current bike from the frame up...thats geeky.

climb occasinally. Indoor mostly.
Cycle if street BMX counts. still trying to pull off a truck driver without landing on my ass.
Just picked up Kendo.
I'd agree that Martial arts are most common. Most of my College RPG club was also in Monday Morning Tai-Chi.
everyone wants to be Google.

Just one problem. Do we count every bear, deer, wildcat or badger that walks by too?
Book Like Rock.
That'll do...

My sentiments exactly. And seeing as Comcast is my cable company, I'll be sure to mention that to them as I downgrade.
What mostly amazes me is that Comcast intends to replace TechTV with G4.
Great idea guys, replace one hardly watched niche network with an even less watched niche network.

Un-fucking-believable.
Knowing my luck Rambus will go belly-up 6 months from now and I'll have to switch out the Mobo to upgrade past 512MB...
You'd be surprised with what can be done. With barbiturates, some elementary hypnosis, and properly applied Pavlovian classical conditioning.
forevery bit of data. you need a four bit EULA.
think about it.
I hear the Ace of Spades uses 16x anti-aliasing, bump mapping and has 64 million polygon count....
ROFL! Such optimism. Next you'll be telling me that Duke Nukem Forever just went into public beta...

La Femme Nikita comes to mind. Anything else halfway decent done by Fireworks?

moron
But I bet you're the kind of guy who associates bukkake with everything...
