    I'd guess that the reason people care about mussel glue and not veld goat saliva is that veld goats don't stick to the hulls of ships, slowing them down and requiring expensive, time-consuming and difficult removal processes. If they can figure out what makes the mussel glue work, they can probably figure out a quick and easy way to get the damn things off of the boats and they can get back to shipping things more quickly.

    That's an interesting position, but can you give any reasons why this is the case?

    I can see why subscribing to software is a stupid idea, but when there are legitimate fees associated with a service (such as an online game with a static world, which has to pay for servers) what's the problem with paying a subscription fee?

    I've always been confused by this - how is something being forced on you by someone else wearing it in your presence? If someone wears a shirt with a pink triangle on it, they're hardly forcing homosexuality on me. Same with a crucifix or head scarf, it seems to me.

    Hardly. Morocco is by far the most liberal Muslim country around. My Dad has been traveling there continuously throughout this whole "ooohh scary Muslim terrorist" thing and has never had any problems.

    Well, I would think that the point is to have fun with a piece of hardware that you've got leftover from high school and haven't touched since then.

    I don't know, maybe that's just me though.

    But yeah, from the point of view of "What has this added to the sum total of practical tools the human race has at their disposal?" the answer is probably "Not much."

    But it can still be fun.
