    Sad? Not at all. That's how the free market works. You usually get what you pay for in a product or service. Same thing happened with Japan post WW2. Now their products are too expensive, but the quality is usually worth it. The new cheap today is China. In time, that will change also.

    Companies such as Dell felt the backlack from consumers, so at least they're giving them an option to speak to someone with native tongue (Gold Tech Support in Austin, TX). Some customers don't care, they just want the hardware while others value quality support. By segmenting the market, you're able to cater to more consumers while still remain competitive within the industry.

    Yes, and until those nations that are competitive raise their standard of living too, our middle class will continue to stagnate or deflate. Basically, it's just a form of equilibrium. America and Europe just so happens to be "over pressurized" for the moment. Eventually (not sure when), it will become cost effective again to keep most employment in the same nation as your consumers.

    Truth be told, an American lifestyle is EXPENSIVE!!! We simply can't compete in a global market anymore unless we are willing to sacrifice with less. In the end, it comes down to survival. American's want jobs, and our nation will change in whatever direction to have them.

    I believe The Mark of the Beast will arrive in one of three nations. US, UK, or China. Christians there are facing an increasing intolerance in the US and UK. But all three already provide citizen ID numbers in one form of another. And yes, I've always thought the "Beast" would be the Government. It always grows with power, and rarely is stopped.

    I'm not sure I understand. Are you saying that you do or do not wish to remain a Christian? If not, Isn't that sort of like saying. "I'm quitting my college education because I can't make straight "A"s"?

    Just because you can't be a perfect Christian doesn't mean you shouldn't live a christian life to the best of your abilities. Both mentally and physically. Only you know if you are cheating your fellow man in the eyes of God.

    And there's nothing wrong with external storage so long as the rules are being followed. Geologists transport huge SEG-Y files on 1TB drives these days. It's high latency, but very high bandwidth.

    What other multi-cellular species on this planet can dominate homo sapien? None.

    But then again, what other species would put forth the very questions we ask of ourselves? We try so hard to study and understand other animals and the way (and what) they communicate. But for the most part, we end up with a bunch of living organisms that run off genetically scripted instincts.

    For obvious ethical reasons, the study would never happen. But, I've often wondered how a feral human being would act throughout its lifetime from child to adult (recorded and such). Would he or she come up with some advanced methods to trap animals? Would it understand the concept on its own of sharpening a stick to make spear? Just how innovative would a feral human be over that of any other primate or bird?

    Well to be fair, homo sapien is a remarkable species.

    Our bodies are not the most strong, nor do we have fur. Yet, because of our intelligence and endurance, we can survive in the harshest of environments. Also, no other living organism has been able to engineer objects that can destroy life as well as harbor it on such vast scales. We've just about done it all. Everything from questioning our origin, splitting the atom, developing the computer, building space craft, to setting foot on the moon...etc. And while our wisdom is often lacking, we are undeniably intelligent and sentient.

    What states have police officers that DON'T ask for a drivers license when pulled over? If you don't have one, you better damn well have a green card or passport. When I travel overseas, I'm asked for my passport when confronted by an official or booking a hotel room. What part of "illegal immigration" don't you get?

    The government has always been the problem...for generations. This new health care bill has shattered an already broken system under the guise of "fixing it". The level of bureaucracy rivals that of our tax code. Wholly inefficient with too many middle-men involved. Entire worthless industries are created because of it.

    Correct, and they will be held responsible. You fuckup, you pay. But for various reasons that I don't understand, our Federal Government is being the obstructionists against the will of the States that want to cleanup this mess. They are being stonewalled.

    and one of the largest concentration of Unions. It's about the Democrat votes. It always was. But hey, lets prop up their failure anyways right? We're paying for it. And while where at it, when I buy a GM car do I automatically get enrolled into the Democrat party?

    There has never been a single income tax increase in history that has created a single job either. It can't be measured either way. But you can match taxation with surplus GDP however. Optimal taxation is based on the Laffer curve.

    Perhaps according to Apple, that is an engineer. I mean, if an "Engineer" is required then the problem at hand (pun intended) is more forgivable. People are more forgiving if a problem is as vexing to an engineer vs an employee who is not one.

    If it wasn't for early adopters such as yourself, we wouldn't have the horseless carriage (CAR), economy flight, and ultra fast/portable computing technologies on the cheap. I hope people like you can get into space flight as well. If enough people do it, the economy of scale will match.

    I say we release them back to Russia, but for another reason entirely. I mean, the damage has already been done. So by releasing them, we have established a political upper hand over Russia. It's our ace up the sleeve when it comes to other negotiations in the future. Such a concession is politically worth far more than making a circus out of this event. Lets use it to our advantage this time!

    From what I've read, when you torture someone, you never ask questions...at first. You simply torture them to the point they release a stream of consciousness. At this moment, they will be in total fear of their lives and in a complete mode of panic. You generally don't let the individual being tortured know what information you're actually looking for until much later. That way, you can spot deviations in his/her story. Basically, torture is a tool to methodically extract truthful information. But extracting information is as much of an art as it is a science. Not always successful even with a professional leading the "procedure".

    True, it is a monopoly on cable services. But you don't have to subscribe nor should you be compelled to do so. If you really want TV service (as limited as they are), you could always go over-the-air or Dish Network. But again, entertainment isn't like water and electricity which you have to have.

    Ya, Comcast can suck my balls. But the least I can do is not reward bad behavior. Though I am pleased with their Internet services, so I still do business with them on that front.

    Comcast can charge $999 a month or whatever the market will bare. Doesn't mean you should like it. No, just don't subscribe. I don't except for their Internet service.

    The real heart of this issue is PR. If Comcast continues down this path, the competition will have their lunch once G4 wireless Internet/IPTV services roll out. Don't make a bad name for yourself. And if you do, just change your name to something like Xfinity... And remember. If you can't polish a turd, roll it in glitter.

    In the Microsoft world, SSL Certs are primarily used for Sharepoint, Exchange Webmail, Outlook Anywhere, and Exchange ActiveSync for iPhone, Droid, and other PDAs. You can't configure them wrong or you'll know immediately that the implementation is broken. So how in the hell can we have 22 million invalid certs?
