Being that I work for TWC in Austin, we do not provide 911 access for our digital phone subscribers. Although I suppose it's possible, but I would think the corporate office would have informed us of this. But being TWC is a franchise...well we never hear anything directly from the other regions.

I can personally verify that 911 is useless if not dangerous. Because the response time can be in excess of 30 minutes after reporting a violent crime, it leaves a false sense of security.

I suggest everyone program the local police, fire, and ambulance number into their cell phones. I you have a home phone, print out the numbers and stick clear packing tape over it and on the base of the phone.

Do NOT use 911. It's more then a joke...it's fucking down right dangerous.

Guess what? I was right. Not because I'm the smartest person in the world, but rather it's because politics in America are so fucking obvious.

I remember watching an interview with Fidel Castro on CNN. Basically, he hates technology as it "corrupts" society as it's bent on capitalism.

Keep in mind Castro is fucking NUTS! He bases everything on irrational ideology to further advance his communist agenda. As far as he's concerned; screw any form of personal achievement as it demoralizes everyone out of equality even if it drags down the quality of life.

Sadly, we have some leftists on Slashdot that look up to him as some form of idol. Hell, I will prove it, just wait and see me get modded down.

Of course we can set it as high as we want... But people want to directly reap the fruits of their own labor rather then "hope" for an average sum payout by the government. So while communism sounds warm and fuzzy, it's history of sucess is anything but glowing.

Asking everyone to collectively work as a team in communism willingly is like asking everyone to sing "kum bi ya" and make peace. While it's not "impossible", it IS highly improbable.

I really wish fuck-tards such as yourself would get off your hight and might horse and face reality and human nature that forms it in everyday society.

Actually, it's the speed of the memory that makes more of an impact then the GPU. If your willing, download a program to overclock your video memory; benchmark it. Now, set it back to defaults and do the same for the GPU. You will quickly notice how memory bandwidth/speed makes all the difference in comparison.

I'm not saying GPU speed isn't important, but the speed of video memory is much much MUCH more important in regards to frame rate. That said however, I would rather have a 256MB video card with faster memory then a slower clocked card stamped with 512MB if priced the same.
