No AC asshole! It's that the EU is turning to authoritarianism by siding with axis powers of China, Russia, and Iran.

  3. I'm really surprised that VMWare doesn't make their own laptop with a VMWare hyperviser in firmware. Basically, boot into any OS you want, and backup the entire stack to the cloud.

  4. I've pulled back from PC gaming. I'll still play Zelda and Mario Cart 8 on the Nintendo Switch with my son, but I've since "unplugged" from the world of ADHD internet entertainment.

So how can I get my twitch fix while staying "unplugged" and not going full athleticism?? I picked up toying around with RC cars. Race em, crash em, fix em, upgrade em. I'd pick up a racing drone, but those blades are seriously dangerous IMHO. Then again, so is a 5 lb mass on four wheels zipping along at 50+ Mph too.

  5. Nah, that comes from a USB flashdrive found in the parking lot. It reads "Hot Asian Porn". Indeed, someone got fucked in the process.

  6. Don't worry, in China, working for Huawei will be seen as a badge of your patriotic duty for the motherland. That is to say, they don't pay you, YOU PAY THEM for the privilege of having a resume' enhancement.

    I'm not joking.

That's what the tier 1 support is for. They answer most of the stupid calls. Usually tier 1 is outsourced in a large corporation. Tier 2 and 3 is where the fun really begins and honestly makes the job far more interesting.

Communism (because that's what this is) will lead to hyperinflation, the complete abandonment of the US Dollar (in favor of a cryptocurrency), and civil war. The vacuum of the US no longer being a super-power means China, India, and Russia start to jockey for power to fill in the void. That could very well spark global thermonuclear war.

So the way I see it, no matter how the scenario is played out, there will be a massive culling of the human population. Because fact is, AI and automation has rendered the vast majority of humanity to rather "useless" air breathing meat bags. With the exception of the elite ownership class owning the means of production.

All paths march toward neo-feudalism. So be it. But communism is the most hellish trek any nation can take.

  10. But social priming does work - it's a fact! Please see the modern beta-male progressiveness of college culture and the public educational system. They're being groomed to be easily controlled sheep.

The "Green New Deal" was a Communist Manifesto for America. There was nothing remotely intelligent about it other than a trial balloon to gauge just how really stupid the average American is to buy into it. Politically, it's a diabolical genius power-grab ploy!!!

Now put down the pom poms.

There's nothing smart about communism, because that's exactly what this manifesto is: the American equivalent of the Chinese "Great Leap Forward"

You DO know much agriculture is dependent on fertilizers, which in turn is made from natural gas....right?! In effect, the world's caloric intake in from fossil fuels.

I'm not kidding when I stated the "Great Leap Forward" as an example. It will cause millions if not hundreds of millions in deaths from starvation, local conflict (societal breakdown, civil war), and might even go so far as to create a vacuum of power that sparks global thermonuclear warfare. All in 10 years.

  24. I don't smoke, never have. But Juul is marketed as an alternative to smoking and is NOT meant for underage usage. In fact, there's one advertisement where some guy used the product to get off cigarettes.

Personally, I'm against vaping of any sort, but I'm 100% in favor of it if it provides a path towards getting existing smokers to kick the bad habit.

And remember, their failing health increases the healthcare costs for all of us in many indirect ways. So in a round-about way, vaping will reduce healthcare costs of society as a whole. Of course, that's all predicated on not piling on new addicts in the process. Still, far better than having a lung full of tar...
