I always thought the AppleDisplayScaleFactor setting was pretty interesting. It, combined with the vector-based interface of Leotard could work really well with multi-touch. Essentially they have the framework in place to scale any application - in the same way you can scale photos on the touch. I really think a sufficiently powerful tablet could genuinely change how we interact with our computers. I just don't think I am ready to write up a dissertation on such a thing... but that's not the point if it, is it?
Celera have long been seen as the Microsoft of the Science world, snaffing up patents 'like a powered up pacman'.
So I'd say you got the two mixed up there. But Craig Venter (celera) 'opensourcing' is like Bill Gates stealing your cereal, and never replacing your milk - then one day giving you a cow. They are both pricks, and this gesture doesn't change anything.
They are both, aligned in different fields.
(I am pretty certain this data has been freely available but making drugs based on research using it etc might have been the restricting factor.
Maybe it just wasnt freely available to academia).
The iPod has an identical screen in both photos?
Which ties-in with the screen staying the same for long times, but seems a bit weird.
Also, I have never seen my iPod make that weird bar thing in the photo....
Seems to me there is a bit of potential here for a comic book viewer. Anything longer than a movie trailer is just silly, but flicking through a comic is a pretty natural thing.
If your techno-savvy ('geeky') then you probably already have your fave online comic. It wouldnt be any effort to subscribe, update daily before you un-dock your pod for the train.
As far as I am aware, no half life release has been carried out in house at Valve. I suspect they will let other people handle the conversion. Jast as happened before. It was years before the dreamcast version (didn't) appear[ed].

but we are all going to get used to it pretty quick. - sleep
like minded people with the same core interest. Like, say, paedophiles and ham radio enthusiasts.
I was certain that the tiger vs Linux debate had been settled. here: http://www.darkskiez.co.uk/gallery/Miscellaneous/T iger_vs_Linux
He did however come up with a fairly wasteful, innaccurate system. He actually didn't produce all that much data considering the time and funding.

This is just a journalist reporting for the New York times. I look forward to reading about this if it makes it to nature.
Easy peasy? I can't get this to work from any command line app. Any ideas?
supposedly its easy peasy, but i've no idea. And I can't for the life of me get Airfoil to work with mplayer from the commandline.

Its all theoretical to me at the moment.
