Because when I want to do something on my computer it is only about 3 seconds to get going and uses almost a little power- and my power supply fan (do I even have one?) turns itself off too.
It always annoying when you wanna show something to some one and you have to say (rhetorically) oh...wait a minute it's loading. Or buffering....buffering...buffering.
I sure wouldn't want my kids to get ahold of an interactive and complete version of The Bible. There's still plenty of good reasons to read about the things we don't want to act out (eh the Holocaust).
That aside I'm pretty frustrated with the Judges deciding which laws to enforce these days. Interpret.
Here's some insight on how they holidays are looking so far. I know the scale is terrible so here's another that shows how things haven't changed much after the original (notice that the Sansa didn't even have that much excitment) announcement- not even for the release date. Also notice the lack of recent news releases for Zune- Google conspiracy? I think Not.
As far as Windows goes, if MS wants to make real progress they'd break binary compatibility (san virtualization per "Classic"), get rid of legacy hardware support and depreciate/destroy old APIs. 'Course my theory is that Microsoft isn't interested in progress. That said, I'm bit jealous of Picasa and the Filmstrip view.
I'm not sure what you're talking about. You might think about being grateful that the author of the great-grand-parent, whom I copied, for choosing a spelling different than your own. Granted the article is spelled your way. In any case we're not talking about you so we're not misspelling your name. If we were you'd have more to worry about- like everyone on Slashdot calling you (and your momma, per the article) a pansy.
If that is the case please accept my apology, I didn't mean to offend you.
The Mods have spoken- Next time you might chill out a little on the language;) after all you know how spelink is around here,
For those wondering it was a buy it now for $49,000 USD. 'Course if you're in the market it looks like the first 10 pages of PS3 systems on ebay, sorted high price to low, have no bids. Expect round 2 on eBay after all those auctions fail.
Yeah, it's a tragedy that Apple chooses to use standards like XML to store libraries and playlists (even if they are key/dict paired). Can you imagine how much better it would be if they used proprietary formats that were harder to for 3rd parities parse.
Well I'm off to apply a simple XLST to my library to transform it into a SQL backup.
'Course Zune is not a USB Mass-Storage compatible device and not supported means no software install. So while you're free to use the Zune it might be more work then you bargained for to get it "functioning".
...and what is up with the background in the Zune installer- weird.
Hi Slashdot, umm i'd like to remove this post from the internet- I forgot to check the Post Anonymously button. Doesn't it say comments are property of their respective users? Can I please have this post back? No? Read the FAQs? Dang.
Here's an example of how you might comply- just make the text visible, then you're providing the same opportunity for both blind and seeing. Check out the comment section on the bottom of this page (Optical Illusion) or this page (Pumpkin Carving).
This is a fun topic for me 'cause I've been experimenting for the past 2 months. I've written a pretty simple filter that rates text and links. Most of the time form-spam has keywords in it because that's what the spammers want- live links that have their keywords. It works for now, I don't expect it to work forever. Anyway I mostly avoid captchas.
Two weeks ago I started collecting statistics about what is getting tagged spam and how it got caught. Yesterday alone 103 attempts were made (by various botnets as is apparent form their IPs) and 103 messages were filtered out immediately.

Anyone remember the iron enrichment experiments? This is just as ridiculous- not all of the side effects are known but let me assure you, there's plenty.
What flame? Maybe you should have posted in reply to a flame cause I don't see many posts that are even mildly warm. Most everything I'm reading is either kudos to Microsoft for actually catching it before release or conspiracy theory that it's just a media claim to buy time. (I was reading as not-logged-in)
Before you start wearing your flame retardant suit all the time, you might want to see if anyone is playing with a flame thrower.
Consequently I think it would have been a horribly funny bug to release although I can't imagine that replacement discs wouldn't be to far down the production pipeline- After all I think Apple could use the competition.

Finally, something a little more objective.

Cheers, EdYoung Sebastion ... Meme Alert.
Please everyone start using "Young Sebastion" to describe our vulnerable children.

Vaccinated Gnotobiotics. We're not too far from it.
FIRST POST! ...
Damn

Finally! "We is winnin'!"
On another note, I wonder if Zune will have the upcoming Brock Human album?

A surveillance system that respects the privacy of those it's observing.
This is a great sworn testimony by a programmer named Clinton Curtis that talks about the hackability of the machines. Eak.
It was a good documentary, worth saving for the kids. Video Downloader Extention for Firefox.

Some people think we should dump massive amounts of iron into the ocean. But the rest of us think that's short sighted.
Definitely posted that in reply to the wrong thread, tabs be damned. Happy Halloween Anyway.
If you're a Mac user you'll be looking forward to Alex, the new voice included in 10.5.
Anyway to keep this all on the topic of pumkins, here's my geometrically correct soccerball pumpkin.
Happy Halloween All.
