On the old Unix boxen, most of the time all I need to do is find out what type of terminal or term emulator that I am using (ie: vt100), and then type
export TERM=vt100
and backspace and the arrow keys are useful again.
I forgot to mention, The 1985 Rodrigue v. Copeland and 1886 Klein v. Copeland lawsuits happened when Big Al Copeland was only putting up 250,000 lights.
So the guy's boss has at least 50,000 lights to go...
The Copeland mentioned above is Al Copeland. Has anyone ever eaten at a Popeye's Fried Chicken. Al Copeland started Popeye's.

He then bought Church's Chicken, and wound up loosing them both. He still owns the company the supplies the spice for Popeye's.
He also owns the more upscale Copeland's Restaurant, which is actually quite
good. http://www.copelands.net/
This book was originally called The Tolkien Reader in 1966. My copy is from 1978.
The only difference is that The Tolkien Reader has The Homecoming of Beorhtnoth, and Beorhelm's Son; where as
Tales From The Perilous Realm has Smith of Wootton Major.
First off, It's a good album. A little over hyped, but good.
Second, I still haven't seen a copy protected version. It must be an Australian thing.
And most importantly, Norah Jones is cool. She released a lot of live songs as MP3. You can download the right off of her web site. http://www.norahjones.com/av/default.htm a nd scroll to the bottom. And we are talking better quality live recordings encoded at 160 kbps.
Just don't punish Norah Jones for her record company's mistakes.

And yes, this is the same Al Copeland that had Anne Rice sending out the Vampire Lestat out to talk to him about the color of his neon light. http://www.kicon.com/law/cases_e/annrice.html and http://www.nola.com/haunted/?vampires/021297straya .html

So if you want to see some Real Christmas Lights, go the the end of Transcontinental drive by the lake in Metairie, La, just outside of New Orleans. He has around over a million lights. Yes, he has his own transformer. He used to hire college engineering students to help put them up. It is really something to see. http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/remodeling/article/0,1797 ,HGTV_3659_1581560,00.html
