If you had turned your emergency blinkers on - like it says to do in most, if not all driving manuals in case of an emergency - then you would have been fine, everyone would have just gotten out of your way.
It's a shame your daughter had to die because of your ignorance.
The only thing Free software would lose in a no-copyright situation is the required attribution that some licenses force.
That will never happen, so why bother debating it?
Why? My time is DEFINITELY worth more than it takes to download and burn an ISO (not to mention I like supporting game developers who make games I like), but I'm still interested in this as a news item.
I really wouldn't consider either's performance in that scene to be scenery chewing... Compare that scene to Hopper's work in Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 or even Red Rock West or Walken's in Things to Do In Denver When You're Dead. It's an exercise in subtley in comparison.
I definitely wouldn't say Walken overplays his part anymore in TR than he does in King of New York. He never raises his voice inappropriately, makes no Pacino-esque wild gesticulations or eye movements... The same can be said, I think, for Hopper in that scene. The dialogue is laughably over-the-top in places, sure - but that's on the writer, not the actors, whose interpretation of the dialogue is pretty good, IMHO.
I'm assumming you were being sarcastic, but I think Dennis Hopper and Christopher Walken are capable of restraint at times... Their shared scene in True Romance, for example. The same film, though, showcases Gary Oldman's over-acting pretty well.
I've never had ANY game fatally crash or lockup on my PS2. And I've logged God knows how many hours on GTA3 & GTA:VC. Is your PS2 an early one? I got mine about a year after the release.
No, I asked for a link that supports your comment: "Documented more times than I'd like to count is the fact that nearly 80% of tax dollars are "wasted" in one way or another."
If it's documented more times than you can count that 80% of tax money is wasted, you should be able to point me to at least one specific article or report on a trustworthy site that can back that up, not a generic Google search on waste in general.
So you are saying that they should make all games multiplayer, even if it's going to be crappy, just to save money on development costs?
Great strategy.
"Uh... yeah... Duuuuude - wouldn't it be cool if I, like, wrote something like NAPSTER? Yeaaaah..." is not the same as actually creating a piece of software that works.
Hundreds of thousands of coders may have had a similar idea, but Nullsoft invented Gnutella.
Can't you listen to lower-quality versions of the songs in the Apple Store? I thought that you could. I don't have a Mac, so no clue if that's true or not.
Uhm, no. If you use Apple's service to listen to just one song, it is $0.99. If you use Real's service to listen to just one song, it is $9.99 (after your free trial is over).
That's pretty expensive to listen to just one song, and it's why I won't subscribe to any music service that has a monthly fee. I'm a busy guy, some months I won't have any time to download music. It would piss me off to pay $9.99 for nothing. It already irks me when I realize that a month has gone by without me watching any of my netflix movies.
Hackers should be treated like a force of nature, they're always going to be there and you should take all reasonable precautions to protect yourself from them.
So all criminals should be treated like a force of nature and not prosecuted if caught? Seriously, laws are laws. Just because you broke a law using a computer doesn't mean it's acceptable.
I bet a lot of people are going to quit the game over this, and even more won't buy it. That is monetary damage to Ubisoft. That is why the person is screwed if they get caught.
It had a library that only slightly topped 3D0 and Jaguar in terms of quantity.
DC quality games off the top of my head :
Shenmue, Tony Hawk 1,2 and I believe 3, Marvel vs Capcom 2 (the DC version is somehow better than the recent PS2 version, even!), Soul Caliber, Crazy Taxi, Resident Evil : Code Veronica, etc...
Jaguar quality games off the top of my head :
Aliens vs Predator, Tempest 2000
3DO quality games off the top of my head :
Maybe Wing Commander IV or that "Night Traps" game?
Seriously, the DC had a nice library.
For $2400 I got an AMD system that completely trounced the highest end Mac in every single way.
"... Except, for some reason, I couldn't get Final Cut Pro to run very well. I'm not sure why."
Why didn't you just, you know, pass him? Or hit his car, that would have slowed him down.

Even if the system somehow knows exactly how much the road curves in front of you (which I doubt unless the road has transmitters or other indicators)
Couldn't it gauge this very simply by taking into account input from the steering wheel?

Oh wait, it's still easier just to buy the game.

something intresting like shenmue, virtua tennis, worms, seamen, etc.
I'm sorry, but Virtua Tennis is Pong with better graphics. I like the game, don't get me wrong, but it's Pong.

Didn't VA Linux sell servers, though - not an OS?
Consider also the process by which a directory became a 'folder' in Win95.
As I recall, the process was:
1. Apple called their directories folders.
2. MS 'innovated'.
AIM traffic goes through a central server unless you directly connect or transfer a file, etc.

I don't believe it is illegal to tape songs of the radio for yourself, since it is not illegal to tape shows off television.
