My favorite MacHack was the one done by Dean Yu that blasted a random inflammatory sound ("ouch!") for each error spewed while compiling under MPW. Come to think of it, Dean did a whole bunch of my favorite hacks.
... Subtle Motion Sensor? Can the Powerbook detect even slight movements in its position? Or is this sensor just meant for drastic changes in X/Y/Z position?
If it handles subtle, then I can definitely imagine plugging the machine into an external monitor and using my PB as a steering wheel to drive my way to ruin through Vice City.
Another incorrect statement from that blurb is that Pippin was not the name of an operating system, but was actually the project / internal code name for a ("classic") MacOS-based gaming console.
Did the public ever get to see the Pippin console, btw?
No problems are referred to in public documentation as "bugs", they are referred to as issues.
Admitting a bug or a hole is like waving a big red "litigate-me!!" flag in front of a herd of lawyers.
The webpage referenced in this article ( http://www.girardgibbs.com/ipodad.html ) looks to be dead now. Anyone know which rock the bottom feeder lawyers put that page under now?

I've gotta think of a good hack to do this year.
(keeps thinking the same thing year after year)

they haven't gone over a ??.??.9 release since... well.. I can't remember when. Can you?
there are a number of bitchin' comments on Apple's Support discussion boards about wacky screen behavior on PowerBook G3's.
Which I also have been hitting since updating my Lombard.
Three or four reboots ago.
blah.
and I thought they pulled it because everyone's ancient Bronze Powerbooks now have screwy display problems.
But then again, they wanted me to buy the new 15" PB, right?
