I really don't understand the question here. Is he implying that Mozilla pockets the money? Or do they want to audit the profits? Just because an Open Source company is making money pundits start to ponder what will the money be used for?
They get the money from the search bar from gogle. Users benefit, google benefits, Mozilla benefits. Profits go to development of their current and future products. Want to know more? Why not contact them directly?
Just like anything else, data networks need to be protected. Where all the money and private information transits nowadays? Yeah, via public networks. If a company doesn't have a strong data security team in these days, they are falling behind times, and no one, individual or corporation, will want to make business with them.
I have given up reading cooments in articles about India.
When it is not an Indian zealot saying how great India is for all the things they are doing or are going to do, it is the guy who bashes India for some particular reason. Slashdot should slow down with these articles until the freaks cool down....
Yes I agree with you, but at least they said that Corsair provided them with RAM, giving everyone a hint on why their preference, not faking results as some sites usually do.
"Interestingly, the article mentions that the President had prepared for the meeting by downloading and reading Stallman's biography (Free as in Freedom) from the Internet."
HOw is that interesting? In case you don't know, every politician does that or is prepared by advisors before plunging into any meeting. Or is that interesting because he usually does not do that? Maybe he needs someone like Condoleezza Rice to chew and spit the stuff to him, so he can better use his time....
There is something really strange in this story. Why should a secret project prototype disappear and on top of that, despite secrecy, the company tells everybody that it was stolen? Looks more like : "Okay, we can't meet the deadline. What should we do?" or "We need some propaganda about our company"...
These blackouts were a series of coincidences. There is no need to worry; actually this is a good opportunity for those who want to invest in the energy sector.
Enron anyone?
Sorry to disappoint you pal, but only 7.5% of Brazil's economy comes from agriculture. You can check it by yourself: http://www.receita.fazenda.gov.br/Principal/Ingles/SistemaTributarioBR/BrazilianTaxSystem/basicaspec ts.htm
Besides, Brazil is in a better economical position than India: http://www.cafod.org.uk/policy/richest200.shtml
And we have lots to spare and a lot of room to grow, since we are a huge country, and have huge reserves of everything. And I'm not counting the other countries in LA (Oh, yeah, We don't hate each other over here...forgot that...sorry!) . What about India... Wanna buy some food?
IT capital o f the World? Why not? Put that 1B people to code for us, boy...;)
Sometimes I don't know what the hell happens in Slashdot: Indians just LOVE to say: "In India we have this, while in US you don't, suckers!" or something the like...Sleeeeshh.....
Just one side note: I'm Brazilian, and in Brazil we have had electronic vote for a long time. So, don't run and claim that Indian crap...I'm sick of this shit.
If you have the tech and money to build something like an O'Neill structure, you don't need to leave the solar system for thousands of years...

That figure is for the US. There is a world outside US, and macs are not commom at all...
Yes, what's the point of having IGP if you don't have tv-out for a media center?

..IBM put its money where its mouth is?
The most difficult thing is to release good drivers. Until then, I will wait to see how they really perform.
What about: the surprising benefits of being dead?
