neither the WSIS or UN have any AUTHORITY over the internet.
its like North Korea discussing what they are going to do with Houston, TX.
wtf ? total non-issue
Incidentally, htf COULD they censor or control it? Dig up the ocean going cables and route them through their offices ? the cpu horsepower they would need to monitor it all is way above the UN's budget.
Ipod is better ? So is a Chevy Malibu, for driving. The iPod is a personal listening device. The slimp3 is a home stereo add on. Completely different purpose. And I dont see an optical out on an iPod.
'Unfortunately, my company's rules won't let me give a public testimonial as a satisfied customer, but believe me, if I could, I would!!"
its a good thing those of us in this elite and secret club got to hear you speak (shit what was your codename again), anyway. thanks for the blatant^H^H^H^H^H^H^ helpful info !!
First, not EVERYONE has to pay 1.10 a month. TMobile is not charging a singe penny. The charge is completely up to the carrier.
Secondly, I am not a baby. But you sure sound like one. I am thankful for the ability to take my number with me. It will save me hundreds of dollars in printing costs, not to mention the savings of switching to a cheaper carrier. wahhhhhhh
OS X? Did I miss something ? He is using Debian/PPC. I feel really stupid that I cant find any mention of him using OS X. Time for some eggnog and makers. This shit is too complicated.
sometimes it mounts, sometimes it doesnt.
when it does, I try to ls and get 'stale NFS file handle'
or operation not permitted. so I'll play a little with it and report back here
okay, since this discussion has gone haywire, I may as well ask an off topic (kinda) question. Lots of people are mentioning that you can use dynamic dns or special software to alert you to where your stolen laptop is. But it seems they all require you to allow the thief to completely log into your system. w00t ??!! I have THREE passwords to get to a desktop on my Linux laptop. BIOS, LILO, user. So Im screwed right ??? If I want some theft security I have to give up my data and day to day security ?? anybody know solutions ??
why the f*&^#*&@$^ cant you people get it.
copyright infringement is NOT theft. its a completely different crime not only that, its an intellectual "crime". no one is physically hurt, and the person who infringed did'nt "steal" anything. the owner still has the original. we are talking about very abstract ideas here. IT IS NOT THE SAME AS STEALING. crikey.
then it would seem that it is a really simple puzzle to do once. there are 14 pieces of cardboard in front of me and I have to arrange them to form a rectangle. that seems too easy.
(finding all combos would not be easy though). Is this what they spent their time doing back then;)
i dont even understand the goal, much less how to go about "solving it". this is some seriously arcane shit. any geniuses out there care to bring it down to sub-dumb level for me ?
mandrake didnt screw up cd drives because it was flawed. the cd drives were flawed. they did not adhere to the ATAPI specs. this was LG's bugaboo, not Mandrake.
