Don't bother. We're full. We have a housing crisis and the cost of living in a major city is criminal.
I pay $450/wk rent for a two bedroom unit 40 mins from Sydney. Young people growing up here have no chance of owning a house because we have an influx of Asians who have moved over and bought all our property, paid for by their rich parents.
It's not the artists who implemented the deal. Imagine if a retailer of CD'S gave away physical media for the first month they opened. They would have to pay for those disc's up front.
So, they don't want people paying for their service? They would rather see people pirate the movies for free?
The entire media industry is getting more and more ridiculous by the day. Income is income, especially when it comes to the type of people they're targeting (i.e. the tech savvy). If I were a big hollywood studio licensing my works to Netflix, which I am not, I wouldn't care about stupid country restrictions. If there are people out there that want to see my works, and are willing to pay for it in this day in age, that's a great sign.
I only recently read an article about 2014 being the worst collective year for the box office in recent history. Reading the massive amount of comments following the article, the aggregate reasoning for this was insane pricing at movie theatres (including tickets and snacks), and poor quality of movies. Everything is either a remake or a "safe" formulaic film.
To put this entire comment into context, I'm from Australia where we get the raw end of every deal. We often get films months after they get released in the 'States for no reason, we pay more for music, TV and film than most of the world, we have "pay TV" (what Americans would call Cable) that have horrible bundles forcing you into 1 channel you want and 20 channels you don't.
The faster the big studios, MPAA/RIAA, and distributors realise that people always get what they want, and they just need to re-arrange their outdated models so they can get a slice of the pie, the better. I don't see that happening soon though.
From the fact that he's completely illiterate about computers automatically implies he already has Norton installed. That AND the fact he's on AOL.
It seems OP is pretty savvy, why not register a domain name for him and set up an SMTP account you can remotely administer. It doesn't mean he'll never have his email hacked, but he'd be less of a target.
I've found there is a pattern for MS operating systems: 95 = unstable 98 = excellent ME = better left forgotten XP = still kicking and doing ok Vista = poorly received 7 = best yet
That's my opinion based on being in the industry and speaking with other computer techs over the past 15 years or so. So with the bad/good/bad/good/bad/good pattern, I'm staying clear of 8 and waiting for 9;)
I've always jokingly called apple the "Cult of Macintology", but now it's even more obvious. The cult of $cientology sue people when they don't like what they're saying, Apple also take action (by the sole means they can) by killing off criticism.
Apple haven't made a decent product in years, they can hardly be called innovators, they're just a marketing monster. And when someone does something vaguely distasteful to them, they sue them. Maybe Apple is just a branch of the Cult of $cientology.
The fact that Apple have such market share is proof that society is slowly getting dumber and dumber.
Especially when you hit the car in front of you, the airbag deploys and the last thing that goes through your head before you die is an iPad with bloodstained bejewelled on it.
Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware is tougher. We just say Em-BAM though;)
Better yet, see how many people can't pronounce Kaspersky. I've heard "Gas-ber-skie", "Kas-ker-skee" and "Ka-per-skee". Last time I checked it was named after Eugene Kaspersky who pronounces his name "Kass-per-skee".
I know right? They call it a race to assemble a server. It's like running the 100m sprint, but starting 80m down the track. Children could do this.
I used to build computers on a daily basis. We once got an order for a multitude of PC's so myself, and the other guys at work decided to have a race. We had a box cutter, screwdriver, all the components in a pile still boxed and the desire to win. I can't remember what the timing was, but from pickup the box cutter to powering on was less than 5 minutes.
Someone reversed a cement mixer of fail up to the slashdot main page and emptied.
So, if I start a cult and force my members to kill people I see as a threat I'm absolved of punishment. But if I make your computer system go haywire for 10 minutes, I'm sentenced to jail time?
Well, [sarcasm]I can see how that's fair![/sarcasm]
On a related sidenote, IDSPISPOPD actually stood for iD Smashing Pumpkins Into Small Piles Of Putrid Debris. This information is useless I know, but interesting if in a conversation with hardcore DooM players.
Sorry, I live in Australia. :(
Now all they need is some electricity to power them up.

He's right. It's a trap!
You mean selling houses to the Chinese.

I hate having to go to settings, most recent, every time I load failbook on my phone. I've complained constantly but nobody cares.
Not to mention the random refreshing that bumps me to the top of my feed when I'm reading something 40 swipes below.
It's probably worth noting that at one point (and probably still), Australia was the number one downloader of TV shows in the world.
That being said, we're constantly delayed waiting for current seasons of shows to be played on our free-to-air stations.
Norton? LOL.

Well, it would have been. I don't have this new NBN thingy yet...

Can anyone say Streisand effect?

So now our governments stupidity has made world news. Pathetic.
I'm kinda confused. I'm certain it's not April, but.... Ok, just try to tell me that if this article was posted April 1, you would believe it!

Eee-Set, nod thirty two.
Not a real tongue twister if you ask me.

At least there is one game reviewer that pulls no punches! Here is Zero Punctuation's Review of Demon Souls.
