The indie short was shot by Patrick Jean, who then sold the rights to Sandler and Columbia. He was slated to direct, but turned the job over to Chris Columbus as the budget grew. * http://uk.businessinsider.com/...
You're missing the point. The issue isn't whether something or not is in the public domain. It is about the _frequency_ of re-releasing the same crap over, and over again.
When the same generic story keeps getting retold every ~10 years, there is only 1 reason for it: greed
Seriously, how many times do we need to keep seeing the same bloody story? The pure stupidity of Jurasic World, along with all the remakes Spiderman and Batman are perfect examples of that.
More explosions, more CG, more lens flares, and unfortunately less good acting, and less intelligent plot. That's the typical hollywood regurgitation.
Mike Acton gave an excellent talk Code Clinic 2015: How to Write Code the Compiler Can Actually Optimize where he picked an integer sequence to optimize the run-time to calculate the sequence. Techniques include: memoization, and common sub-term recognition. For 20 values pre-optimization time was: 31 seconds, post-optimization time was: 0.01 seconds.
I've been running this for a while now. It is a little strange they say version 1.0 has been released when the current version is numbered 2015.8.5.1 ?
The fine article mentioned:
Privacy Badger 1.0 works in tandem with the new Do Not Track (DNT) policy, announced earlier this week by EFF, Disconnect, Medium, Mixpanel, Adblock, and DuckDuckGo.
Honestly, it is not always obvious that is actually working. I mean, sure, there is a red number shown how many sites it has blocked, but the actual useful stat is the options which lists ALL the sites you have visited that are tracking you: chrome-extension://pkehgijcmpdhfbdbbnkijodmdjhbjlgp/skin/options.html
Maybe I guess that's the point though -- it just works in the background so there is one less thing to worry about.
I regret to inform there was only 1 issue... the readers kept applying the advice (*shock*) and thus was no demand for future issues.
How to live a meaningful life
Vol. 1, Issue 1.
Far too many people waste away their life complaining about X. They are unaware there are only 2 types of people:
1. Achievers: The ones making an effort to live their dreams one step at a time , and 2. Dreams: Everyone else, who complains that they never have enough time, money, or excuse ___ of the month. They spend the majority of the time wasting away their life watching other famous people.
The secret to living a meaningful life starts with a Healthy Body and Healthy Mind.
1. Quit filling your mind up with junk Limit mindless entertainment to a few hours a week. Be it TV, movies, games, News, etc. Seriously, knowing which Hollywood actor divorced who, or who slept with who, does fuck all for your life.
2. Watching documentaries or TED is a great way to keep the mind up-to-date with meaningful content.
3. With all the free extra time you because you cut out all the crap in your life - pursue hobbies - spend more time outside - spend more actual face time with loved ones, family, parents, friends - read more - exercise more - bicycle more - walk more
4. Holy Trinity of Exercise The 3 disciplines of: Yoga, Martial Arts, Weight Lifting complement each other very well. If you can't do all 3, pick one.
5. Diet As we get older we get fatter and slower. Cut out all High Fructose Corn Syrup. Read all ingredients to see if it is the first one. If mouthwash has alcohol skip it. Favor natural and organic products to "plastic" food. Try Raw. Limit fatty foods.
6. Practice Spirituality Whatever path you take, Theism, or Atheism, is largely irrelevant because they are both incomplete. All that matters is that you always keep seeking -- learning and applying your philosophy in all areas of your life.
7. Secret to Happiness Remove False Expectations
8. Keep pondering the big stuff, and enjoy the little moments.
9. Smile, Laugh, and Love more. It is the world's best medicine and miracle.
10. Remove negative influences, and focus on the positive. Replace your vocabulary of "problem" with "opportunity"
Xerox did as well. Have an pre-cursor to the Phasor 8560/DN kicking around here. For text, print quality and speed is great. For pictures, print quality is not bad, not bad at all. The only downside is that you have wait 5 mins at startup for the wax to melt.
For HDR printing though nothing beats an Canon inkjet on glossy paper. Kirkland Photo Glossy paper at $20 / 150 sheets is a fantastic bang/buck for "proofs"
"Facebook, noun, is yet anotherlatest fad of online social networking services (i.e. previous failed attempts include CompuServe, AOL, Friendster, Plaxo, MySpace, LinkedIn, etc.) headquartered in Menlo Park, California..... After registering to use the site, users can create a user profile, add other users as virtual "acquaintances" -- many of which have never physically met -- using the hijacked term "friend", exchange messages, "like" random shit that no one really gives a fuck about with no ability to downvote the stupid crap, post status updates and photos, share videos and receive notifications when others update their profiles all while blindly ignorant that Facebook is data-mining the shit out of them and busing selling out their data to any bidder interested. Common derogatory terms include fuckerberg, fazebook, fuckbook, fagbook, fartbook, fecesbook as a reference to all the stupid shit posted on it."
Just setup a VM (Virtual Machine) -- VMWare or even VirtualBox. You can even decide which Host OS you want:
* Host on Windows and Linux in a VM or * Host on Linux and run Windows in a VM (which probably isn't a bad idea since you can track / block networking(
/sarcasm What? Communicate and work with the people in the neighbor? Next you'll be suggesting that assumptions are the root cause of most conflict. Heaven forbid someone actually do some proactive work! to _avoid_ this situations after the fact in the firs place;-)
That's a poor commercial, but not for the reasons your thinking...
* Man makes a big purchase, doesn't communicate to his partner until after the fact; nor get her input on whether they can actually afford it * Women throws a temper tantrum and disrespects his things by breaking them.
It is a crappy add because both genders were immature and stupid.
The focus should be about the *joys* of the car -- not about the disharmony it "creates."
We already had this story ...
As another posted pointed out
And ...

> I don't see why they keep rebooting these franchises.
Replace whatever word they are using: reboot / remake / reimagining / regurgitating / recasting / etc,
And replaced with it these: recash grab
--> Money
Hollywood keeps recycling the same old crap. Because it sells.

... as a practice exercise for optimization.

Not everyone works a 9-5 job, Sherlock.
i.e. People who work graveyard shift usually don't care what time zone it is.

Yup, Terraria is good! Update 1.3 just came out but haven't had time to play it yet. [Terraria] Has more depth then Minecraft (pardon the pun!)
Nope. Played Vanilla and BC for 4 years. I quite playing grindfests since they don't respect my time be it:
Defiance, Destiny, Diablo 3, Eve, Guildwars 2, Path of Exile, Warframe, WoW, or just any other MMO which is just a monotonous rehash of
* genocide
* get phat loot
* rinse-and-repeat for 100 levels.
Much more fun is playing L4D, Team Fortress 2, Portal 2, or Minecraft with my gaming buddies.

I'm assuming the same idiots who watch Kim Kartrashian ... they can't find any meaning in their own life so they watch someone else's artificial life.
/sarcasm We already have a term:
E-penis
Or we could just call them, shock, digital games because that's all they are.
Why is the medium (for professional competition) even relevant again??

There is an old joke in the audio industry.
* If you want to make a million, spend a million.
Works for crap such as Monster Cable, Bose, Beats, etc.

Married Audiophile Joke:
"When I die I hope my wife sells my speakers for what they're worth rather than what I told her I paid for them."
Huh? Running Chrome works on iOS 6.1.2 -- sure it will crash but that is due to running 50+ tabs.
I've had Safari crash too.
Both problems are related to low memory conditions.
Agreed -- the grand parent is pretty ignorant of the history about viruses.

Speaking of the memory card .. there is a rather novel "approach" ...
The underage girl should have "accidentally" flashed her boobs ... that way the drone operator would be possession of child pornography.
Wow the Download Tool can't even default to English ...
... or more forced obsolescence ?

You misspelt TV.
You really haven't watched the popular unreality crap such as the Having no life with the Kartrashians*, Nude and Drama*, etc. on TV have you ...
* Names intentionally changed to better reflect what they are about ...
