So you guys all think they employed a perl coder to do legit things? He probably designed all of these techniques for evading blocks.
I stated I don't know the guy or the situation, but it seems a little convienient that someone with some serious perl skills suddenly has a moral moment of clarity after the termination of his employment about what it was he was doing there.
Why should anyone care that a former spammer is now in trouble from his crappy employer.
He suddenly has a strong moral conviction of what his employer is doing after his house got raided.
He's not a whistle blower if he participated in this business. Not saying that I know what happened, but doesn't sound like much of a whistle blower to me.
you have to provide at least two layers of spam filtering + antivirus filtering.
otherwise you're asking for it.
Setting up a linux box to host email is asked to be used as a relay.
It comes with a USB mouse that connects to the keyboard also.
I'm the sucker who bought it for $200 when i came out a long time ago.
It's pretty cool, but the Ps2 only has 32MB ram so it sucks as a desktop. You could use it to check your emails on tv, but you would have to swap the video cable and the memory card (which acts as a boot disk) to play a game on it.
I honestly haven't touched it since i got it, it provided a week of entertainment.
So we're supposed to write your business plan for you??
If people here have business ideas or ways of making money they should keep them to themselves:D
You can already have back up power (generator/ups) and have surge protectors for you power.
I merely meant, you're having a more direct connection to the power from your nic card. It could really damage the equipment if not filtered properly.
This could lead to some interesting power surge attacks in the future to disrupt communications etc .
I Like the speed and the price, but I don't know about plugging my nic into the outlet.
I think the PHP portal software is pretty cool for setting up a quick layout.
check out phpnuke, e107.org, and phpportal.
They all do a decent job. Even slashdot's backend is available for download.
c'mon really. This is what makes it a competitive world. I have gamecube because you can't get zelda/mariocart/metroid on any other platform and I have ps2 for all the cool rockstar games. The game is played both ways. Gamecube is a great family system. Ps2 is a great older teen/20's system. Nintendo probably wouldn't release gta 3 on their system. So, rockstar takes the exclusive money, and saves on R&D and marketing to the other game systems.:)
I think it's fine as long as it's on PS2:)
Although that Xbox with all the games and emulators on it is cool.
It's probably not all that easy to migrate it from a ps2 (64bit) to xbox (Intel) to Gamecube(who knows what).
Besides in asia, xbox sales are weak from what I've heard. Even gamecube is more popular. Don't know what the E.U. stats come to, but I imagine they are the same.:)
i hate touch pads:)
Get wireless B/G card. B is common, and G is fast and will be more common in the future.
On a side note, I just got the widescreen 15.4 inch kind, and I really like it. Good for watching DVD's:)
Toshiba makes a nice laptop
You have no idea about this vulnerability. I'm talking about bank passwords to https websites, slashdot passwords, not corporate passwords. You can't train your clients if you are a bank.
You shouldn't answer things you know nothing about.
How much is it costing when M$ releases a patch for IE (last week) and it erases all of your IE passwords? Imagine the call centers and helpdesks getting slammed for password resets because people don't know what their account info is.
They use encryption too so no worries. You just upload changes everynight so it doesn't kill the bandwidth.

If you provide a service, you should be allowed to define acceptable use of it.
Basically it will also prevent bandwidth waste and save money.
Really good CMS Features news, portals, lots of themes / looks/ feels, chatbox, forums, calendar etc. It's perfect. www.e107.org www.e107themes.org
not really a frat, but it's a community thing :)
is really easy to install and works perfectly as far as I can tell.
Hello this is a marketing ploy to get people to use WMA's and be DRM'ed to death. mp3's made the internet cool :)

i have this model. It's been great otherwise.
One doesn't ever seem like enough. Like blacklist + spamassassin. how come you can never get to the links in the spam anyway, what's the point ? :)
He meant movies' stars. Don't take any crap from these nazi's.
This can't be a bad thing :)
