and the fact that you don't think a closed phone can be good is almost entirely irrelevant to how this will be reviewed.

Until the open ones get functionality their closed one hasn't.

In fact the fact it looks pretty ugly will be a far more important factor in how it is reviewed than how open it is.

Yeah, the round look wasn't appealing either, and I doubt anyone getting an iPhone (for style) would consider this one.

Anyway I personally want plenty of options and applications, but in a scenario without them on both any-phone and iPhone I doubt the any-phone would do user interface and integration better than the iPhone but what do I know. I don't even know if there is an SDK which allows normal apps nowadays for the iPhone or not.

But something very hackable with new menues, mediaplayers and future development for years would be cool.

What system do you have? The DVB-T Mpeg II system used here in Sweden suck balls and I think we closed the analog network 2 or maybe 3 years ago. I thought it was retarded already back then to not make sure all boxes had Mpeg IV support and eventually sell boxes capable of HDTV to.

As it's now with satellite you get more HD channels and better picture quality and some channels over air looks like shit.

Telia-Sonera offers TV over the telephone network though and afaik quite many have bought it already so that may be one solution to. Atleast it offered many of the better channels for a low price.

I much rather see that they make a card technology able to handle 2 TB than the current tiny baby steps they always seem to do when setting limits in the technology. 2 GB for SD and then 32 GB for SDHC, but we are already at 32 GB so the format is fucked, I hate it.

And yes, 2 to 32 GB with SDHC took what? 2 years? 3 maybe? And that's a 16x increase, 32x may not take as long as you think ..

Does anyone know about some hack which removes this limit from iTunes? It suck balls. I've seen "routers" with iTunes sharing, I assume they run their own software and therefor don't have this limit, are there any iTunes alternatives without it or any cracks which removes it?

Also I really wonder what Apple thought then they made AirTunes only work with iTunes and not all sound as you can do it with iTunes (and also why they have no mixer for changing volume / application), and finally why the fuck they have both the Airport Extreme and Express, I want wireless sound AND be able to connect a harddrive, how hard can it be to understand?

ATM it looks like the best solution for me would be a netbook maxed out with ram running as wireless accesspoint with external harddrives and airfoil / some other solution for music + webserver with web interface for a bittorrent client.
