Over here in Sweden we had laws which for instance said that you could keep the bike if someone had sold you a stolen one but you really thought it were legit.
Nowadays, due to abuse I suppose and to protect the real owner, there are no such thing and if you buy a stolen bike you can never say you didn't knew that and it belongs to the first owner.
I don't know how much that would relate to domains and CDs, but I guess you can't defend yourself by saying "uhm, what? Those nukes? Someone gave me them.."
True, back when I tried staroffice for the first times what I liked about it better than word was that my diagrams, screenshots or whatever didn't jumped around in the whole fucking document. I hate when you move and image with whatever image properties they have in MS word and then it just jumps away and you wonder where it wen't and find it in the end of the document or whatever and have to drag it up again over a few pages..
I think stuff jumped around less in staroffice. In latex they stay;D
I see, he looked like he did in 1983 so I guess it wasn't far away from that, he looks much older now, but if you say so it may be correct. Do you know what I should search for to get the date aswell?
Anyway, he's correct;D
I wonder where we would had been if noone had listened to Chris Espinosa:( To bad WE lost so much time, we as in everyone doing computing, not just Apple and their users.
And running the same OS, know that whatever applications you use works and so on isn't? I doubt the price of the OS affect the budgets that much anyway.
Thought a free os would probably do for writing documents and such, and with wine maybe even more work but then it may not work perfect and get slower, so they could just aswell not upgrade their computers as often.
Same shit with IE 7, IE vs firefox, WMP whatever vs WMP whatever-1, MSN Current vs MSN Current-1, ICQ, winamp, iTunes, XP vs 2k,..
Vista may suck, Vista may not, my computer have never ran Vista, and if it had done and it sucked I would just have fetched yet another XP disc and reinstall, big deal;) Anyway most people complaining probably just stick to the old version because they THINK it's better;D
It's harder to OEM a 500 dollar version, and the people who pays 500 dollar probably wouldn't had wanted a basic version...
Also yes it's new, but if drivers suck it's the hardware makers problem, but they can always say that the product doesn't work with Vista, big deal? If the whole computer suck the manufacturer should probably not have shipped with Vista.
His point was that aslong as you don't use that functionality it won't affect you, and I don't see how it would, do you? If you don't play DRM content there is no problem.
And even IF you play DRM content and there is a problem it's not Microsofts fault, it's the content providers and in the end the consumers which accept it fault.

Of course they will keep it, why would they return it?

But the earth doesn't catch 100% of the sun light/"radiation" hitting earth either.
Clouds, ice and reflects more, and eventually the heat radiating from whatever uses the electricity may not go into space again as easily.
I guess it's hard to predict the end result of such things anyway.
Couldn't we use that energy to split the carbon and oxygen and reverse the process? ;D
Uhm, but using up energy which came from space here will probably heat stuff... So no ;)
Bring up the dyson spheres already.
Yeah, my first thought is what if they won't point it at vehicles but on people?
First it's a power plant and once deployed a space weapon?
And still it's a valid point for him staying with M$ Office, big deal.

By a mac or run Linux? (Linux is supposed to be good for audiostuff aswell I've heard.)
I didn't knew it was such an issue, sounds weird that it would fuck things up when not needed.
Trolltech one is cool but waaaay to expensive.
In other news both my phones where 250 and 350 sek each.

I'll install Leopard asap

It's vistas fault the whole machine freezes? I doubt that. More likely drivers or hardware.
People have already said a few things, much improved networking is another. (Same as win2k3 afaik.)
They also buy salt and asphalt for roads, plants for parks, machinery for hospitals, and so on, the horrors!!
Also they don't do POP3, Google does but I never use it... I want a free e-mail service which supports IMAP, preferably over SSL. PLz k thnx.
Or why does it say 1GB once you want to sign up?
Yeah, because ATI are well known for their quality drivers! Bla bla reboot gpu fucked up error on radeon 9xxx.
Mine had an epileptic seizure 2 or 3 days ago :(
Must have been a bad circuit or something, anyone know how o underclock or raise the voltage (ok, many people will have ideas or that) of a cat?
Aaah, that explains why Linux is so big here
And why sex is speaken of so rarely.
Aaah, that explains why Linux is so big here ;D
