If Tabula can provide the equivalent of 8 FPGA in a single circuit, it will be a huge win for system designer. Multi-FPGA systems have reduced performance because signals must be propagated between FPGAs, via a limited number of IO pads. A PCB integrating a single FPGA (rather than 8 FPGAs) would be cheaper to produce, more compact, while providing better performance.
Consumers should better be interested in the efficiency of the 3D engines, such as CryEngine, UnrealEngine or FrostByte!

The OMAP 3630 is the full-featured CPU (ARM Cortex A8 + video/audio/2D/3D accelerators) which is integrated in Motorola's phone, but IMHO it will be integrated in many successful phones because it kicks the other mobile CPUs' asses (think Qualcomm, Samsung, and the rest).
The OMAP 4430 is even more powerful (ARM Cortex A9 dual-core + many ARM sidekicks for acceleration), and TI is coming with more.
The development of OMAP is really focused on Linux support and open-source communities. And ANYBODY can buy a development platform (it is called the ZOOM board).
When I go to the movie theater to watch a disaster like "Kick-Ass", I think I should start pirating these kind of crap rather than pay the full price of a seat (10euros).

This is good news for us photographers!
90% of the time, photographers only set constrast/brightness/level/curves of their photos. These tasks cause lots of color aliasing in 8bit mode, but they are just fine in 16bit mode.
With Gegl support, I can use gimp for my photo flow:)
