Yeah that sounds great except for one thing. When you try a.gov.us extension it doesn't work..us is not the default extension. Or else why can't you type the full address for a website in the US and have it go through.
Have you guys seen the Gran Turismo 4 screenshots!
They are amazing... definitely appraoching photo-realism and this is on the PS2's dated hardware. Think of what a DX9 card of today with a decent proc could do. http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/driving/granturismo4/s creenindex.html
I completely agree with this man mod him up! If I die I don't want my enemies to just stand there and let me shoot him, a game like that would be boring and dumb. If I'm really that bad I would want the game to help me aim better and kill the opponent more easily, not make them more unrealistic.
If attempting to welcome someone is patronizing then I guess I will refrain from it, but I was only thinking of meeting new people and playing with them. And if you would kindly reread my post please I think you would encounter my little note that says "stupid question" before the part about speaking English. I never said anything about the US bringing them civilization or anything like that. Of all the one Iraqis[This phrase is in a sarcastic tone]I met, 100% of them speak English. Sorry for my blantant stupidity, but when I do encounter some while playing online multiplayer games I will be sure to greet them in Arabic. Hopefuly it will be in an understandable dialect, because if it was me I know I would feel more welcomed to the community. Sorry for being stupid.(By the way neighbors are Syrian and they know Arabic and would gladly teach me)
First off I play Counterstrike, Day of Defeat, Medal of Honor, Neverwinter Nights, and Halo and have never met an Iraqi(not that I have known of anyway)on any of those games, but to "welcome them onto the internet" should have been refraised as "Welcome to my internet" assuming it will even be bridged or was already connected, but if it was why have I never seen any activity from Iraq on the net(lack of interest maybe?). I didn't mean to sound condescending to anyone of those people or to take it upon only myself to welcome them, it is just that I like meeting new people and if I ever found myself in a new place(such as a new community people that play online multiplayer games) I would probably be more apt to play if I were welcomed and wanted there. Sorry for wording my thoughts in an ignorant and misleading way.
Does anyone know where I can find a list of all the Iraqi server IPs? I would really like to play with these guys and welcome them on to the internet and to online gaming. Stupid question following: Do alot of the people that would be playing speak any english(or will I have to learn a little of their langauge).
Would find them on P2P? I find them on P2P all the time. Ever heard of eMule or used Bittorrent? PS2 games are ripe for the picking. They are everywhere! But then again that's on my internet. What about yours?
I don't really see the reason for moving to 64-bit just yet. I think waiting a little longer and moving straight to 128-bit is the best move for the PC world right now. Remember the 8-bit to 16-bit to 32-bit. It would be better to move straight ti 128-bit and keep that as long as 32-bit has been around the to have another few quick changes like what happened with 8-bit to 32-bit. If it's around longer it can become much more developed and standard.
Afraid of? Terrorists. Or did you forget that millions of Islamic terrorists would love to see all Americans die, or that thousands of US citizens were killed by a terrorist attack. Yeah sure why don't we just cut the military budget that would solve everything:|. I don't think future wars will be fought between the super powers like US, China and the EU, they will most likely be fought over terrorists states and the people of these super powers. Maybe if all this wasted wellfare monery was spent on national defense the NSA, FBI, and CIA could prevent further things like this from happening.
P.S. Oh yeah and for any Islam troll about to defend their faith I didn't say "all" I said millions. Oh yeah so what if it's even %1 of Islam that hate America do the math...
Science is just as much of a faith as Christianity. Debate all you want but it's impossible to prove that science is any more real then a creator being. I would have to be foolish to say that there is absolutely no God, because to do so would be to jump to an extremely large and not thought out conclusion.
Bottom line: Science and Theology are both faiths. It's just popular scientific culture to not believe in God(for now anyway. Maybe it's an ego thing, I don't know.
Step 1:Use http://riot.eu.org/anon/ to send the administration a friendly "what if" letter. Be sure to include things like "I have reason to suspect" and "Theoretically speaking is a student were to find a backdoor". Be as vague as possible but make sure you get the point across that you want to help them. Tell them to mail an official response as to what their course of action would be "if" a student were to come across such a flaw in the code.
Step 2: Find a computer store with a few models with online access. Set up a hotmail or yahoo account containing absolutely all fake information.
Step 3: Have the administration mail the "official" response to that address.
Step 4: Find a new(stress "new") place with internet access(like an internet cafe) that allows floppy use. Copy the entire page onto the floppy. Oh yeah and make sure to pay with cash always. Shut down the e-mail account.
Step 5: Make a few copies of the disk, and depending on what their "official" response was either take in the exploitation code along with the floppy in to the administration or repeat steps 1-4 with the software company.
---If all else fails submit the stuff to a bug traking site(preferably many)
Eventually I can see cellphones totally phazing out house phones and pay phones will eventually stop taking change becuase change itself will be phased out. Eventually paper money and metal money will be non-exsisitent and the only way to make voice or video calls to anyone will require you using means in which you can be easily tracked. The sad thing is I don't really believe there is a way to stop this. Maybe I can hold this stuff off until I die...but not likely. Privacy has no place in the future, sorry guys.
This looks more to me like a CNN screw up then anything else. They said it was for information of bomb making but other sources say it was hacking military computers. Oh yeah and did he say to use those bombs against the government anywhere?
This copyright nonsense has gone to far. Fair use...how rediculous. What if I'm having a party and we have speakers thoughout the house playing copyrighted music, do I have to stand at the door making everyone buy a copy of the CD before they come in. This stuff is complete BS. We really need to fix all these stupid copyright laws.
A screen capture program? Of course there no way to prevent that. What prevents people from renting the VHS from the store and copying it when they get home? Nothing, but they still rent VHS out don't they?
You guys don't think machines aren't capable of taking over all jobs humans do? You think no one would want to talk to a machine service rep? What if the machine had the exact likeness of the most popular super model of the time and constantly compliments you? Obviously customer service robots would be programmed to be the best for that peticular job not just some little monotone talking box. Some think technology couldn't possibly hurt us. I agree that jobs being taken over by machines won't destroy the world because no one can get a job, but that doesn't make future technology any less dangerous. I think in 60 years time human cloning could get to the point where people can just go out and have a clone made of really famous and beautiful people and everyone would have a perfect super model husband and wife. Humans will become more and more obsolete as time passes. You think people will still be needed to create even newer technologies and have more things to do while machines are doing all the boring work? Why would a robot programmed to be creative and that can think for itself while having unlimited knowledge would be any worse of a scientist then average joe human scientist. If technology progresses that far what really is the purpose of people in the world?
My prediction: Lack of morals+huge advances in technology will turn the world into a hell. A hell where you will never have to be sad or think for yourself or feel any pain or even work. It will also be a hell where people serve absolutely no purpose. Luckily most us us won't still be alive by then.
Hey is anyone out there a hacker and an artist? It would be pretty funny if you "hosted" your song on the RIAA's site and then sued them for copyright infringment. Well anyway people should be picking apart the RIAA's site looking for stolen parts of code and stuff by now. I mean what kind of case would they have if their website had some stolen code here and there?
Yeah so what...Then they'd have the IP and the user names:jkksgsgfdr@tafasaklj and mmewlkjqajlkw@934njmkddw. You'd have to call up your ISP and have them change your IP(but they keep records of that). But what's really funny is I have Road Runner cable(Time Warner), and when the guy came and set up my cable line he logged on kazaa and dl a song to show me and my family how fast the new connection was. Funny stuff...
Oh just a small correction: That would be "John" the Ripper he would use, not Jack the Ripper.
This will definitely have to make it into the Beaver benchmark round-up. Man I bet those Dell PowerEdge 2650s are shaking in their boots!

Are you talking about Yahweh?
Medical Doctor huh? ...But can you run Linux?
I completely agree with this man mod him up! If I die I don't want my enemies to just stand there and let me shoot him, a game like that would be boring and dumb. If I'm really that bad I would want the game to help me aim better and kill the opponent more easily, not make them more unrealistic.
