  1. Non-realistic doen't mean artistic on Realism vs. Style: the Zelda Debate · · Score: 1

The Mona Lisa is realistic and not cartoony. Does that mean that it isn't really art and its just pandering to it's fanbase? What makes most of these comments rediculous is that they don't consider realism a "style" even though it is just as much as cel-shading is a "style". I don't play games because they are cartoony or because they are realistic. I play because its fun...

  3. The first paragraph is BS to begin with! on Drawing Minorities Into Gaming · · Score: 2, Insightful

"Roughly 80 percent of video game programmers are white"

Wow I had no idea all the hundreds of Japanese games I play all the time were created by mostly WHITE MALES!? Where the hell did they get that number?
  4. Too Damn Sensitive! on Drawing Minorities Into Gaming · · Score: 1

Why are intelligent white people portrayed as skinny, glasses wearing, nerds? As an intelligent white person I am offended by this!!! I'm sueing the makers of Half-Life 2 for stereotyping me!! Oh now that I put it that way it seems pretty upsurd doesn't it?

Wrong science isn't about trying to prove our theories right it is the process of finding NEW and MORE CORRECT thoeries to explain things in nature and discarding old LESS CORRECT theories. I wish people wouldn't hold on to the scientific theories of today like it is some kind of religious truth but instead realize science is always uncovering better theories in which to replace the ones we use today. In short THEORIES CHANGE ALL THE TIME...

  6. Re:What do you think is better? on Riot Control Ray-Gun for Use in Iraq · · Score: 1

If your so smart how would you control a rioting crowd that is destroying property? Oh that's right I'm talking about the real world not some hypothetical where you could go back in time and not invade Iraq. The reality is that we are there and we need a way to cotrol rioting without killing people.

That's sounds good considering most of the smart XP pirates are running a genuine Corp Edition key code. So how exactly will this stop us even without this new exploit?

  11. What about me? on Legal Music Downloads At 35%, Soon To Pass Piracy · · Score: 1

  12. No... on Holy Men in Tights! Academic Superhero Conference · · Score: 1
So you're saying that it is okay to objectify women because somewhere, someone is objectifying men?

No I'm saying that blaming the male gender is absolutely rediculous because it is seen equally throughout the female gender. Any responsible person would point out that it is taking place in both genders, and not make men out to be some kind of monsters and say nothing about females.

  13. Romance Novels? on Holy Men in Tights! Academic Superhero Conference · · Score: 1

You mean like how all men in romance novels are super buff and handsome? How can we stand for this! We must stop the objectification of men in romance novels now!!! Come on man give me a break. Here's an experiment for you: Go to your local book store and go take a look at the covers of romance novals and then go take a look at the covers of all the comic books? Do you honestly think you will find more barely clothed women on the front of comic books then you will barely clothed men on the front of romance novels. Yeah that's what I thought.

That's funny my Athlon 2100+ with 512MB or DDR PC2700 can play HD trailors just fine. But then again it does have a nVidia 6800(NU unlocked to 16 pipelines and an extra vertex shader). Perhaps it has less to do with the main CPU and more to do with video card eh?

Wait... your using the story Dan Rather ran about Bush as an example of a positive contribution of blogs to the mainstream media?

You do realize the documents were completely fake right?

"Great. I was really worried about whether a top-notch game company like SquareEnix can generate good-looking visuals. A better question would have been: "So, did you hire a screenwriter this time? If so, can he/she create a decent plot, or a dramatic structure smoother than something a five-year-old might build out of Duplos?"

Actually it was the fantastic story and gameplay that made FF7 the most loved RPG of all time, not the visuals.
