    When we went on a schooltrip to the Iguazu Falls we said if one of us wanted to commit suicide the best way to do it would be jump into the falls. They're magnificent at a distance, and they must be incredible to jump into.

    I'm not sure how much medical usage really can effect the ozone layer, because it is contained by the anesthesia machine and metabolized by the body, meaning it isnt released into the atmosphere

    Nope, it appears it's barely metabolized

    I believe it is "violence found in the real world is translated into video games"

    But the real-world violence that is reflected in video games is the one seen by their makers, who are mostly in developed countries (at least the designers are). Therefore it't not much of an argument against Chavez. Neither is buying guns, since when is buying guns for the army wrong? Hell, he's just doing it to show off.

    IANAA, but I'd expect the bits of debris to settle into an equilibrium between clumping and breaking up: rings. What you describe suggests some form of hysteresis.

    Like it or not, FLASH is what you get on microcontroller these days. Few if any of the devices are EPROM based anymore. By making the same part generic and programmable, you get huge volume and lower price

    Well, this hypothetical advanced civilization is capable of surviving without cattle (in fact it has found superior alternatives). However, due to the form of government this civilization has, the cattle-growing sectors have a disproportionately high importance to those seeking political power, so they never managed to get rid of cattle.
