  2. Re:Special Interest groups on Brazilian Government Continues Push For Free Software · · Score: 0

At the moment Brazil imports US$1 billion in software and exports R$100 million. Not only that, but the government spends tons of money sending people to college, who later head north of the equator for better pay. Canada, US, and Europe get highly trained people for free. Some of them probably write software that the country has to import.

Is it not? There are a lot of private enterprises there. They're not democratic, but that's something else.

Youre right, their goals are only somewhat similiar. The nazis didnt spend as much on weapons and did achieve social justice. Of course, they didnt have the foresight to wage war as far away as possible; preferably in a country with no political strength. So you could say Republicans are smarter nazis.

  9. Re:You said it! on USS Ronald Reagan Commissioning Tomorrow · · Score: -1, Flamebait

Its funny you called the Republicans conservative, because in most other parts of the world they are classified as Nazis. Their economic and warfaring goals are very similar, you must agree.

The machines even got lent to Paraguay. The great thing about them is that they are very sturdy and can be sent off to the middle of the jungle and run off car batteries. They probably got their best testing done by the Colorado Party in Paraguay... :-)

One interesting thought exercise is to think about which things one could teach or do if transported to the middle ages, given the resources available then. ItÂs not that easy!
