WRT these pig brains, they're experiencing iscemic damage that may result in infodeath, but it's a slide into that vs a singular moment of death. Of course some cells still work, only 4 hours passed from loss of blood flow.
It is junk science, some creatures can indeed be frozen and revived because of unique properties of their physiology. Humans cannot.
So far it has been proven that organs can be cryopreserved and restored to full function. A rabbit kidney was extracted, cryopreserved to liquid N2 temps, re-warmed, and implanted into a living rabbit. It survived solely on that kidney for 48 days until it was euthanized to study the kidney.
Physical and biological aspects of renal vitrification
In fact, by decapitating this girl and digging her brain out of her skull, they've guaranteed she is forever dead.
It really is a heightened awareness that you get when you run brakeless on a fixed. You learn how to predict traffic patterns, pedestrians habits, and other crap that could get in your way. It makes you constantly think, 'If that car did X, I would do Y'.
As far as chain breakage, I've only had it happen once. I was taking off and was not going too fast, so fortunately I was able to stop no prob.
You can do it on the cheap by flipping your drops over, and sawing them off. That's what I did. Of course, I really didn't care about the drops that came on the bike...they were too small. But as bullhorns, they rock.
Check out these. I use an ErgoXRay velcro'd to my helmet. Three AA's last 3-4 weeks of nightly commutes/rides. It will light your way if there aren't any streetlights. And it will most certainly make you seen in traffic.
We've been there for five decades. The jars are insulated, the liquid is nitrogen.
They're confused with the definition of death. In my opinion, the best definition comes from cyronics: Information Theoretic Death.

Gurgeh is Trump!
Actually, he's the anti-Trump, but the parallel can sorta be drawn.
It is the 193rd day of the year.
False. https://www.texastribune.org/2...
Honda already has this on their 'touring' trimmed vehicles.

Here's a concept that you may not have heard of before: Information-theoretic death.
Probably the most significant AI milestone in a while.
I would like the option to load comments 250+ at the top of the comment section, not below. Otherwise, I like it.

I know exactly what you mean.

I have these Air Force and Army guys calling my place all the fucking time....
Subspace/Continuum fits the 'MMOG for the casual player' bill perfectly.
I pick it up whenever I have 10 minutes.

Could it be because in the state of California bikes ARE traffic?
Also, under VC 21212, helmets are NOT required by persons 18 years and older.
I agree. Every day in the US, about 110 people die from auto 'accidents'.
The fact that we refer to them as 'accidents' and accept them as the norm is the true tragedy.

We're not above this.
That's 3 REM per calender quarter, 5 REM per calender year. Not millirems.

Nice fixie. I just finished my fix about 6 weeks ago.
Since the pics, I've flipped and chopped the handlebars for skidtastic fun.
Not quite 15lbs, but close at 18.
