That game was GREAT! It was one of my first RPGs, and definitely the best game to make use of narrative cut sequences at the time in my opinion. I'd get a TurboGrafix just to play it. Y's II was somewhat of a disappointment.

Every post about DNS has someone saying we need to make DNS more complex, more resource-intensive, and more prone to problems. I don't get it. DNS works great.
The 3.5" variety just happen to be covered by a plastic exoskeleton and a metal access door. If you take apart one of these and one of the soft covered 5.25" floppies, the media are essentially the same.
There's definitely a legal distinction between the two. You're not taking property without paying for it, you're duplicating information without paying for it. The latter does not directly result in a loss by the victim.
It appears that the new version does allow you to interface with the vehicle's computer to retrieve diagnostic codes, but I'm not sure of the level of integration possible.
Electromotive systems makes a system called T.E.C. (Total Engine Control) that performs the functions you're looking for and much, much more. Although with this setup, you don't interface with the car's computer but replace it entirely. It allows you to control fuel curves, ignition advance, turbo boost, and pretty much any function of the engine to your exact specifications.
