And what prevents the standard "WhatsApp" from doing that? Just look at the EFF scorecard ( https://www.eff.org/secure-mes... ) reveals that there are better alternatives.
Net Neutrality - it's not about the applications, it's about the interfaces and channels. No application shall get a worse service than another.
The Net Neutrality is about the roads and junctions we use, not the fuel we fill in the cars. With the Blackberry opinion it would mean that every car on the road would have to be able to accept any fuel provided.
Considering the bloatware that the phones comes with as standard like Facebook (that spies on your address book) and a number of unwanted apps that have been granted unkonwn privileges by the phone vendor I'd trust a rooting tool more.
I agree - weakening the fence that encryption offers will just cause more problems for the general population.
Criminals will just put more effort into encrypting their data and use additional methods like steganography where the messages are hidden in documents like images. You can't even know if a text message contains typos or are coded. "I is not amused" - a good example of a common mistake made by people not fluent in English. Dialectal perks are also a headache.
Better result will be obtained if the suspects are targeted by classic means. Listening in on network traffic only is leading to misunderstandings if only part of the communication is seen - the users may discuss gaming strategy rather than real world attacks.
It's still an atmosphere there - at the speeds that the payload is arriving parachutes will work fine to slow it down quite a bit. But for the final phase airbags and other means like braking rockets still are needed.
The initial hit on the atmosphere is a heat shield, but when that no longer is needed then you continue the slowdown with parachutes. Using rockets for the full deceleration is probably heavier than the parachutes otherwise they would have used them.
The problem with better resolution is that now even more snafus and easter eggs can be found in movies and TV shows.

That's a pure myth - the health costs caused by the Tobacco and Alcohol exceeds the profit.
Better would be a vaccine that makes you feel really like shit when encountering nicotine.
Hint: Don't put your pet hamster in this machine.
Would anyone notice a difference between the erased original and the copy?
What's the penalty for telecom sabotage in the US?

Well - it's already 22 minutes past midnight.
We passed midnight in 1945.
I'd say Wordpress or Drupal, which one you choose is more a matter of taste.
Why would anyone even consider that aside from the challenge of see if it can be built.
There's nowhere to escape the targeted ads and you can't turn them off.
Or more precisely - Microsoft has been in too much hurry pushing new OS versions after Windows 7 with no real user benefit.

How will this work in reality since we know that net trolls are frequent and willing to insert their skewed view into the results?

It was in the 70's, today the whole world is a dream for Nazis...
There's nowhere to hide anymore - the world's too crowded and politicians are corrupt everywhere.
Maybe it's time to abandon normal phones now.
The ones they use are for supersonic use.

From Fedora 20:
--preserve-root
do not remove '/' (default)
The only remedy would be to have a specific gaming account.
Then only files which that account had write access to would have been in danger.
Even better is to run under 'chroot' to protect from such mistakes. 'chroot' isn't perfect, but at least it makes it harder to mess up.
Well - if you don't have a lock then the door won't be broken when you come home.
Just to add to it - one that EFF hasn't listed is Bitmessage.
