Thats a very narcissistic viewpoint to take. We are a planet orbiting a very average 2nd or 3rd generation star, in the outer arm of a very average galaxy containing about a thousand million stars. Bearing in mind we can only see in a cone shape out of either side of the galaxy, we can see roughly another thousand million galaxies. And you reckon we are the only life forms out there? Remove th blinkers mate, we are no way alone.

On what grounds would you say there is not life there now? And what do you constitute as successful life? Are you taking successful life to be macroscopic beings? Surely anything that reproduces can be classed as successful, including microbes, bacteria, etc. If there is water, the chances of finding life are a lot higher, just because you can't see so called evidence of life from our current viewpoints in no way negates the likelyhood of it.

It's not a REEEALLY bad idea, you just have to be damn carefull when it comes to making the mod. If you do it in a clean room you shouldn't have too many problems. It also helps if the humidity is quite high too, makes the air less full of dust, pollen etc'.

    THIS "CONDITION" IS A GIFT.
I was put on Dexamphetamine sulphate (Ritalin made me Uber Violent) and the dexies gave me an insight into how the "average" brain works.
The normal brain has roughly 20 thoughts a minute go through it... an ADHD person has up to 300 thoughts a minute. The dexies just slowed me down, I lost all creativity. I took myself off the medication against the advice of my doctors. Having seen how I work with medication, I have been able to alter the way I work on a day to day basis, I can pick ideas out of the multitude, and actually utilise them, and focus to such a level.
It truly is a gift, and I wouldn't be any other way.
