I don't know what the hell kind of compiler you're using to generate these crufty executables, but GCC produces the exact same binaries for source with comments vs source code without.
What? Java has ALWAYS been compiled down to bytecode, even Oak was like this - the virtual machine that runs said bytecode is a core feature of the platform.
Java was NEVER an interpreted language.
I'm a tad confused about your comment re: chefs and awesome ingredients - if you have good ingredients, it's pretty easy to make good food.
With mediocre ingredients you need a lot of skill to make good food..
From my reading of their FAQ, it seems that this tool can be used to decrypt the encrypted backup images that iTunes takes when syncing the phone, not the phones themselves.
Am I wrong? If it's the backup images, then I see the potential attack vector as slightly less serious as an iPhone is usually a lot easier to lose / have stolen from you than the machine you sync it with.
The parent stated that he couldn't find a Bluray player for his laptop at all - free or commercial.
I don't know whether there are free Bluray players out there for Windows, possibly not - but that wasn't what I was replying to.
Yup. There are no Bluray players for Windows, especially none that are found by doing a google search for "blu ray player windows" and called PowerDVD 11.
Actually 8x4 TB disks will do it, with the overhead etc, giving you 24.96 TB usable space.
An 8 drive DroboPro with 3 TB disks might just about do it.

They do - it's called CCTV 9. http://www.cctv-9.com/2005/
I can get close to that on my .11n network.

Or am I missing a joke here?

Unlike the Israelis who don't get any foreign funding whatsoever, especially not for weapons. Nope, perish the thought.
An invite can also be used as a noun, it's perfectly accepted usage.
You fail the Internets. (Hint: Iceland != Finland)
My bad, didn't get that you were replying to that.
And yes, 256-bit RSA is trivially decrypted, has been for quite a while.

They ARE talking about AES. No one uses asymmetric encryption for large amounts of data, due to its slow speed.
It's a rat poison.

Well don't go diving much deeper than about 6-8 metres, unless you're a Russian Navy guy..
Yours is clearly a total lack of a sense of humour.
Erm, even the author of that states that these issues are now fixed with Snow Leopard and recommends against using EncFS on OS X.
Also, you can't use EncFS on your whole home dir as it doesn't support some extended attributes that OS X relies on.
30K+ makes you upper middle class? It makes you poor where I live :)
It's also much more tolerant of non-8bit-clean links, like Telnet by default.
Where do you live, 1998?
I believe this expresses my feelings with regards to your fine, coherent, insightful comment: Excuse me good sir, but LOLWUT?
Uh, Al Jazeera means "The Island." But thanks for playing.
Well both our countries enjoy undercooked fish and are addicted to bath houses, so the difference isn't that huge really.
