    It gives the prosecution a chance to put a lot of doubt in the mind of the jury.
    The prosecution needs to remove the doubt from the jury; it's the defense that wants to create it.

    It's only information if he can back it up, his post is just a story untill he pulls out some proof.
    And he said 'this type of technology has to be stopped' yet the technology he talks about has nothing to do with the technology in the article.
    He also said 'Technology is fine, but this is an outright abuse.' when there is nothing abuseive about the technology in the articles.
    His post is nothing more then something he probably dreamed up to grab attention.

    Lawyers have always need a way to make nice looking exhibits. The only diffrence is now instead of giant peaces of poster board with pie charts printed on them. We have powerpoint presentations. Not much has changed, just the way it's delivered.
    And on a side note. The lawyers themselves don't make the exhibits; they have people to do that for them ;)

    The system he's talking about is not the system in the articles. The system in the articles is like a fancy overhead projector. It's nothing special at all.
    I bashing him because he's trying to make this sound like some sort of government conspiracy to get convetions. And I'm still pretty sure he's lying.

    Does the jury ever actually see the defendant sitting there (live - not on TV)?
    The jury only sees the defendant and the witnesses live and never on tv.

    Then this is totaly off topic, because it has nothing to do with the articles.
    The system they talked about is only used to present evidence and nothing to do with using cameras to record what goes on.

    If intercepting the bit changes it what stops you from intercepting it, then just retransmitting the same bit you just received along the line?
    Sure the bit you intercepted changed but you blocked that one from moving on and then duplicated what you heard.
    How can it stop this?

    A pointless observation, even if meant anything to speak of "Nature" as representing some kind of agency, which it doesn't.

    Cost of asteroid impact = 2 trillion (?)
    Result = 100% * 2 trillion = 2 trillion
    Time to impact = Long long time
    Cost to create a way to stop it = 100 trillion
    Chance of the system still being useful when threat arrives = .00000000001

    You don't waste a huge portion of the world's output to create a system that has virtually 0 chance of ever being used in that systems lifetime.
    Or maybe you think we should start work on a way to keep the sun from dieing in several billion years.
    Or what about the universe, it's going to get cold dark and dead in a few trillion years. Maybe we should start work on a system to stop that?

    No doubt there are some Iraqis that are smart, cause lets face it someone had to build all of Saddam palaces ;)
    But how do you know that their having a PhD means they know their stuff. Do Iraqi schools get accredited? Do they have strict penalties against bribery (which from what I hear is pretty common everywhere else in the country)? Is their course work even up to date?
    And even then does it compare to an American Degree. Like for example an American High School Diploma isn't worth shit compared to a Japanese one.
    Now truthfully, would you prefer to drive across a bridge designed by an American or an Iraqi?

    Not to pick on the Iraqis (who I hear are some of the smartest people in the middle east)
    But where did these 'PhDs' come from? Baghdad U? Kabala State?
    They've been cut off for the rest of the world for so long you really have to wonder how up to date their universities could be.

    Try using java script to print out your email address. Completely human readable but since most bots just grab source code they won't be able to piece it together, unless they implement bots that can do java script..... but I don't see that happening right now.
