The American people do not pick and choose their foreign policies. As much as we'd like to think we do, we don't control what the govt. does.

If people in India can't even find decent jobs and need to find work from American companies where they will get paid peanuts, what makes Americans think they'll get lucky and find a good paying job there?

You'll get paid as much, if not LESS, than what the Indian residents could get. At that rate you might as well take a paycut and go work IN-HOUSE for the company who's willing to pay less for someone from India.

While I agree it's not particularly wise to introduce a 10 year old to the harsh realities of this world all at once, I think it'd be better to be honest with a child and teach him that the world is NOT a nice place while also teaching him the importance of right & wrong.

My 11 year old cousin is VERY mature for his age. This might sound odd, but we (his family) have no issues with letting him play things like GTA3 because he KNOWS that it's JUST a video game. He KNOWS where the line between reality/video games is. He knows the world isn't a nice place.

You can copy 12 DVDs a week if they're fast enough (provided you get your mail hours before the last pickup at the post office mail box, that is).

CDs.. never again. New movies in the theaters... alt.binaries.svcd and the like, baby.

I'll continue to do this until the RIAA/MPAA stops their bullying tactics.

I know others might not agree with my methods and I might get a lot of backlash for a response like this, but hey, that's what makes us all different. All I care about is the peace of mind that I have in knowing that my money isn't going toward their crap lawsuits.

Look at when the whole "internet thing" took off in '95/'96 and AOL was charging $ per HOUR for DIAL-UP usage.. then changed to $19.95 a month unlimited. Now you get other places like Netzero/Juno goin for $4 a month unlimited. With AOL, you're just payin for the name. I'd really like to see exactly what I'm payin $69 a month for.
