It's pretty disingenuous at best, ignorant perhaps, or even malicious at worst to classify this as a Democrat or Republican problem (much like the war, TARP, irresponsible mortgages, Iraq, military industrial complex, education, etc). You are obviously trolling, but your mod indicates that someone out there still buys into the fud (ie, is a tool for the corrupt political process). I wonder if the Libertarian party would actually work to shrink the government . . . Clinton did shrink it a bit, but I won't try to tout that as proof that the Democrats are any better, certainly Reagan helped the tax situation for the wealthy, but the deficit spending he perfected worked to grow government. Ron Paul says the right things, but politicians know how to talk. It's the doing that often diverges from the so called plan. So with that in mind I'll fix your post:

The cars Nissan sells in the US are made in the US, from parts manufactured partly in the US (the same or more than the big 3) by US auto workers (who incidentally are not part of the UAW, and are paid better than UAW). Nissan US is essentially a US auto company. If you want pure 100% american owned than there may not be any alternatives (though TESLA may in fact be one).
Wait, an absurd example is somehow valid for illustrating a point? If the only example that can illustrate a point is an absurd example, does that mean that the point itself is absurd?
So they can confiscate it as drug money, without proof, if you don't have the documentation of where it came from. But it isn't illegal (I was wrong . . . the limit is for international travel). While I agree that is the case, it still makes no sense.
I stand corrected . . . i had remembered it as an interstate commerce thing. The rest of my point stands. I guess furby076 is a troll as there is no response . . .
Are you suggesting that $4700 or so in cash is putting your flight at risk of either blowing up or being hi-jacked? The legal limit for carrying cash is $9,999 (or maybe $10,000). There is no one saying that the security officers did not have the right to look inside the metal box. But once they did and they found nothing illegal or dangerous to fly with they should have given the box back and let the man continue. What do you think should have happened?
To each his own, I'm sure many people would enjoy it, but not everybody. The City of Tomorrow was this sort of utopian view that everyone would be happy living in towers (sounds a little dictatorial to me), and these towers were all surrounded by these happy green spaces. It sounds like it could be nice, but urban fabric doesn't really work that way, rather it requires a more diverse set of building blocks. It's an interesting topic, but not one that I can even begin to do justice to here beyond saying that new urbanism isn't new and that no amount of planning can create good urban environments.
Parks demonstrably have a naturally elevating and edifying effect on the populace, central park is one starting place if you are interested in trying to prove this notion. It seems like you are tying the Le Corbusier utopian tower idea somehow with parks. There is no park good enough to overcome the inherently awful idea of having everyone live in high rises. High density does not need to = high rise, just as parks in high density urban environments does not somehow imply the tower project from "City of Tomorrow".
Don't fall prey to the thought trap that the current trend will continue forever. Just like the stock market these things tend to cycle. I'd bet that in 50 years the swing will be back to the states. I don't know how, but the elephant that is the federal government just can't continue to grow. It'll more likely pop like NASDAQ.
IIRC what Kucinich did is say that he believes in UFO's. I do to, I also happen to understand that UFO != Alien intelligence flying around and snatching people up. Though apparently many are not able to make that distinction. Should Kucinich pander to the ignorance of the masses by further explaining what he meant? Probably as a congressman he should, but on the other hand I would most likely have handled it in the same way. I saw a UFO the other night, and it was not until the next day that I learned what it was, and re-labled it appropriately: weather balloon.
I always used slugs as an engineering student. The lb-m and lb-f system seemed wrong to me, and most of the people who used it ended up losing points because of the missing 32.2. When not working with the metric system, I would still opt to use slugs when needing to have a mass unit.
So, this forces me to ask the question, if the energy will not heat up water (and presumably water vapor) how is it going to do the whole heat up the top of the hurricane (or pre-hurricane storm) to diminish/ prevent the hurricane? Something is not adding up.
1978 and 1979 were the only years for the Fiesta in the US. I had one (posted above somewhere) and loved it. Had to replace the water pump a few times, but this was a cheap and easy DIY kind of repair that I did not mind that much. I also drove Escorts, which I hated, mostly because the regular models were sluggish compared to the fiesta.
I drove a 79 Ford Fiesta for a few years in the late from 87-91 or so. It died eventually, but was a great little car that got very decent mileage (32-33 city) and was very "zippy". It had about 180,000 miles on it when it started to act very strange on the highway (slow down over a few miles, and then stop. After resting for a few minutes it would start again). Ford did not ask for bailout money, and though they have made some awful cars (my Explorer sucks, mostly I think due to the terrible-ness of the 5.0 V-8) they are the only american car maker that I even will consider when looking to buy again. I hope the new fiesta is a choice for me when here in the states. BTW I'm 6'-5" and fit comfortably enough to be able to drive it for 5 or 6 hours without a break.
When I taught kids to swim, I would have them do a little stretching because it calms them down (especially the 5 year olds). My swimming coaches always had us do a light run before a meet, and then some dynamic stretching before each event. I always felt that the more limber I was the longer I could exert myself, and in swimming we would stretch after practice to maintain and increase our flexibility/ strength.
No one in the government encouraged mortgage lenders to make the "liars loans" (loans with no effort to verify employment and income status), package them and re-market them as AAA securities on the international market. Listen to this (45 min or so).
Ha. Reminds me of a similar time in a similar building. We had SGIs and a cute gal from my company started working in the same agency I was. I sent a lot of xeyes to get laughs.
Reverse in the areas it has gone too far, where it is costing the government more money, because the tried and true "privatization saves money" turns out when tried everywhere to not be true everywhere.

When I was 6 we had a handy saying that summarized this law: "Finders keepers".
a Hokey is someone who goes to Virginia Tech. Its a badass m****r f****n turkey.

And it does feel good to be a gangsta.
based on his name I'm guessing he's Joust.

You lost me. Maybe if you put together a PowerPoint I would be able to follow your complex logic. ;)
All I can come up with is "Children of the Corn III".

I thought there were 4 boxes?
