Great, all we *really* need is an ultra slick, ultra fast shiny new OS that allows us to be spoonfed more crap. We don't need reliabilty, a plethora of tools and applications or extensive API. No, no, no if they can stream us more channels then we're really cooking.
Complete mince.
Apparently Open Document formats are going to pose a threat to those with disabilities. (See the Massachusetts article...)
That's right- Open Source is going to kick you out of your wheelchair!
I worked as a tester on a leading manufacturers VoIP product a few years back. (2000-2001). At that point, everyone was very much VoIP will kill pbx. However, it became apparent to me that VoIP suffers from 2 things:
1. Traditional comms guys don't trust it all that much.
2. IS/IT/Comms won't trust it because if it is doing a combined job, like some of the SoHo VoIP switches available, if the thing goes down your office is at a standstill.
The technology is however, basically good.
of greed- they can't SELL it any more so they'll RENT it. This is reminiscent of CRM and the move to locking down mdeia files to a particular player. GREED. How much cash do the big boys want?
Isn't there the risk reporting on this kind of thing that every no-hoper creepy b*****d with some tech savvy will go- "Oh look, now I can be both Cape Fear AND James Bond at the same time."
Copy cats will follow.
Is it excusively blackberries they want you to pay for, or do they want you to buy raspberries, kumquats, lychees and other fruit as well? If so, tell them to stick it.
The ability to read deleted/old info is not new to me. Recently my girflriend was updating her Curriculum Vitae. It had been edited on several versions of Word,on a 3.5 floppy. When we opened it in OpenOffice, we got the last version she had edited. Then she reopened it in Kwrite, and we saw there an entirely different document- in fact, the same CV, but from a whole year prior to the last version.
Maybe other people have noticed you can do this?

It is a ruse- the Alpha Centaurians are using Nokias to cover up the signals from space. I'm not scared though- I've made a hat from tin foil!!
sounds good, very fast and so on, but I still love the z80a.
...jokes you have to do them prior to 12 (Midday) otherwise it is bad luck.
