It's the seed of a global manipulation which has resulted in more dead/dying/suffering people than any other con I can think of off the top of my head. Communism? I guess you could say it's not a con but it's killed more people in the last 100 years than christianity in 2000.
In an astronomy class at uni we were told about how a NASA technician sneezed into a camera that was sent to the moon, and when it was later recovered they found a colony of bacteria had grown inside (or something like that anyway). Since then NASA is extra careful about things that are sent into space to stop what you have suggested.
My question is why does a doe represents Lily?
People keep offering explanations but you don't even want to consider them so why keep asking?
Here's my explanation: JK Rowling chose a doe because everyone knows James Potter's animagus form was a stag, and doe is a female deer ie female version of stag. Because of this, making Snape's patronus a doe is much simpler than choosing some random animal and having to make Snape explain to Dumbledore (and so to us the readers) that it's the same as Lily's one. If, for example, Snape's patronus had been a eagle then the scene would have just been a big 'what the hell is that supposed to mean and what does it have to do with Lily?'
From Max Payne's EULA:
"SOFTWARE Backup or Archiving. After You install the SOFTWARE into the permanent memory of a computer, You may keep and use the original disk(s) and/or CD-ROM (the "Storage Media") only for backup or archival purposes."
And yet the game requires you use the CD for non-backup or archival purposes to play.
You shouldn't need to recompress them, if the AVI's are just divx (or xvid for example) and MP3 you can just transmux them into an mp4. Unless the video ipod doesn't support MP3 in MP4, which it should do.
I've seen some artists (eg Iron Maiden) say how they don't like the copy protection their record company has put on their albums, yet they don't lift a finger to stop the record company from putting it there. They're just having their cake and eating it, they can seem nice to the fans by complaining about copy protection yet they screw their fans by putting it there in the first place.
'There are laws against any kind of discipline in Japanese schools, this was fine when the kids knew that if they worked hard they would be fine.'
Do you realise teachers in Japan are allowed to hit their students if they haven't been behaving at school (I saw it happen while I was there)? That sounds a lot like discipline to me.
Since the parent didn't provide proof, here's the relevant passage (it's the fourth paragraph): "SOFTWARE Backup or Archiving. After You install the SOFTWARE into the permanent memory of a computer, You may keep and use the original disk(s) and/or CD-ROM (the "Storage Media") only for backup or archival purposes."
They probably wanted your drivers license so that they have someway to track you down if you don't return your movies. You really think they are just going to trust you on who you say you are?
At my university you can fold over part of the exam so that your name is hidden from markers, which prevents people marking your exam harshly because they don't like you. Maybe the University of Victoria should do the same?
It's too bad that you can't yet rip DVD-Audio and SACD because the encryption is too strong. The only use for mp3 surround will probably be for ripping movies 5.1 audio.

I dont get this. Is this game meant to be the 12th final fantasy, or does the X-2 mean that its the second 10 game? If thats so doesnt it go against final fantasy tradition where each game is unrelated to the last? Unless you believe that 9 is a sequel to 1 of course
The koalas that can swim the tasman sea?

It's more fun to remember the song contains the ever appropriate lyrics "You make a grown man cry".

Yu-gi-oh was a comic before it was a card game, which is why many of the rules in the early parts of the show aren't part of the real life game.

The only workaround I know of requires you to already have the license unfortunately

No that's New Zealand
His sig is a joke, didn't the fact that it's attributed to Homer Simpson make it obvious?
Joan Baez, but Judas Priest's version on Unleashed in the East owns all
Don't you mean litigious bastards

Doesn't it send google statistics about sites you visit? It probably does this anonymously though, but that can be considered spyware still.
