    Load of crap!
The Earth's gravity can only change with added or reduced mass. This article hints that it is the amount of gravity that has changed which isn't possible through this earthquake. What is possible is that the vector of gravity; (typically down twards the center of the earth) has been changed since dense matter has moved drastically.

On a side note, the earth tends to pick up 200 lbs every year due to meteorites. If there's any change in the ammount of gravity, that is what's doing it!

Oh and I forgot, Hydrogen isn't a power source, it's a means to transport energy - Like a battery... Except it's a fuel in gas form. It's not like you can pump it out of the ground and fuel the world with it (like most of today's energy). With Hydrogen you have to consume energy to make the stuff.

So really what's the whole point? If you give up on oil and convert to Hydrogen... You still need energy to make the stuff. Where is that energy going to come from? The same Flower Power concepts that think that the world can still work with growing energy needs while political pressure is put on governments to prevent building new power plants. Brilliant!

Well I can tell you the Power Company is PG&E, of which I work. I can tell you without any doubt that a "Power Surge" is on the extremely improbable to impossible area of chance. PG&E has some of, if not the best power quality of any utility. There's lots of protective equipment on every circuit and system to prevent a "power surge". Lots of stuff can go wrong, but a "Power Surge" just isn't happening.

When it comes to electricity people like to throw around terms like "power surge" and "rolling blackout" and they get misused far too often. This is one of those cases.

There's also the problem of storage. You just can't store it for very long, at least not at high pressures. Hydrogen is so small that it leaks out of any container you can put it it. It's a "technological hurdle" that cannot be overcome, because it's a problem on an atomic scale!
