    Linux wireless isn't the problem. Linux is the problem. Mod me down but Linux community doesn't want to accept till they get pretty guis and administration GUI, Linux will be regulated to servers and web servers. SuSE might have the power to pull it off but I don't think anyone else will.

    I haven't done extensive work with OS X Server but it seemed all the bases were covered by the GUI. If your not going to be using all the pretty GUI widgets, then why in the hell are you even leaving OS X on there? Just move BSD or YDL or something. Part of the shiny of the gui is that you don't have to touch the "Scary" command line.

    It used to be you couldn't remove IE, you can now remove the icons (but not the core program) DUE to the lawsuit not Bill's kind heart. Once you remove Safari, it's gone and can never be brought back without reinstalling it.

    I bet you can use a different MP3 player with Apple. Most MP3 players have one piece of software they use to communicate and update it. iPod's is iTunes. If you don't want to put up with iTunes, then you need to find a different MP3 player.

    The answer to everything isn't linux or the Linux model. Just because I tell you Star Wars involved lightsaber fighting, StarFighter dogfights and blaster fights doesn't mean you can tell the next guy exactly what it was about. Your right, everything we see does leave a memory but it's nothing like the original. MPAA and RIAA make money off people wanting to hear the source.

    What really got microsoft screwed was you couldn't remove their built in shit. You can with apple. Don't like iTunes, Put it in the trash, BAM GONE. Don't like Safari, put it in the trash, BAM GONE. Want to use Firefox? Download and be on your way If you don't like apple stuff, you can always replace it with your own and get rid of theirs. (Though their built in stuff is 100x better then microsoft which is why most people end up using the built in stuff and don't replace it)

    College students are famous for having viruses laden, rooted and adware loaded boxes. I used to do computer repair for people and they would get so mad when I said Kazaa had to go and if it came back, you were SOL, I wasn't helping you out, they used to give me all the BS about "I'm so poor I can't afford music" It ended getting blocked at my school and my pings in Call of Duty went up 10 fold after that. Also, a bunch of computers connected together on the same network, all it takes is one stupid laptop user to bring in the latest virus and every idiot who ignores Windows update is infected.

    Your partly correct about IIS and being the kernel but alot less is in the kernel then you think. Apache on Windows can have a hard time being run as anything other then Administrator (i've done it before, it's just a massive pain in the ass) while IIS process and IIS anonymous users can be jailed easily by using NTFS permissions, IUSR, IWAM accounts. Some PHPbb security holes that were exploited on my IIS 6 box caused less damage because of that. They were jailed to that location and could only go running through there. Patch IIS 6 and it's no worse then Apache (who needs to be patched as well, since I set up an apache 1.3 box about 8 months ago I've patched it 4 times and patching Apache is slightly harder then patching windows which I've done about 4 times for IIS, more for various other stuff)

    Actually, Windows 2003 IIS is quite nice. I know I'm going to get flamed and probably modded down but if your stuck on Windows 2003 (in particular) IIS 6 > Apache. Note, I've tested PHP on IIS 6 over Apache with PHP. IIS 6 was faster, more secure (assuming patched) and used less CPU. No, I didn't do any official study, that's was my findings personally. I found people who bitch about IIS 6 have either a. not used it or b. Are poor Windows admins or maybe both.

    Download the source, check the source for whatever your curious about and COMPILE IT YOURSELF. If your that untrusting, then you can be as paranoid as you want. Besides, last time I downloaded "trusted" IE software, I got some spyware....

If you so pissed off at RIAA CD Prices, then stop downloading, stop buying and just listen to those songs on Radio or buy second hand or get your music off iTune legally. As long as this mass piracy continues, they can scream about lost profits and look pitful in front of Congress.

    Cool, I'll change my email. Good idea, let me notify people everyone, I'm sure I'll miss someone but who cares? Changing Email isn't a solution, spam filtering shouldn't have to be a solution (but I do it anyways) How this, I didn't ask for the email, and you shouldn't be sending it to me and 16000000 other people who didn't ask for it either.

    Coming from a former PS player (to hell with BFRs) zerg rushes exist because death has no meaning for anyone. 30 seconds later your back in the game with the ability to grab everything you had before. What PS needs is a strong competitor and it would be down and out.

    You can disable the grouping in Taskbar by right clicking on it and clicking properties and uncheck Group Similar Applications and hit apply. Your right, I hate it too.

    I wouldn't use Email in Korea either. They are a spam haven and if they get spammed as bad as I do from Korea, I would switch to AIM and SMS. Did they also address the computer ownership in Korea? I heard that Korea has a lower number of Computers in households and alot more cyber cafes. Also, email is worthwhile if you stay on top of it. Most email is delivered to me in 5 minutes or less of it being sent. If that's not fast enough for you, You need to stop drinking the coffee.

    We do use sbl-xbl from spamhaus and it works wonder but Korea and China in particular are out of control in my opinion and I don't want to deal with them. I generally block them at firewall.

    Amen to that, I refuse to talk to pretty much any APNIC block with the exception of Austrilia (and NZ). Many mail admins do similar things. China, Korea in particular are firewalling themselves off from the world because of their inaction. I wonder if they even care.

    This is true in Call of Duty, they are out there and they exist even with Punkbuster. However, since Aim boting doesn't work that well anymore, (it's extremely easy to catch) and wallhacking doesn't always help a player since they still have to shoot. What is worse lately is clans who modify weapons files to "balance" the weapons. Generally it involves buffing allies weapons and nerfing the axis weapons. Like changing Kar to 3 hits to kill and giving the garand 1 shot kill no recoil.

    We used to have someone on our Call of Duty server that they would get so wrapped up in stats that they would get mad when they didn't publish or published wrong, get mad when someone got their "kill" and such. So yea, stats do bring out the worst in people sometimes. (We ended up having his stats removed because of his behavior)
