How much time you give people there will always be people who will not be ready for the change. I say that the US government follows Japan's example. because it will increase it jobs and the economy. But hey let us see what what happens. In the next few years.
Comes as a suprise like any government they wish to make sure they have the ability to see what is going on at all times. It is all about keeping thier people in check. It will be fun to see this one plays out.
Is why was not all the usegroup posting allowed to be used in a court of law. That is like picking apart a man's speech and taking out only the sentences that you feel are threting instead of understanding the context they are stating in. To a much lesser degree My twin brother once told be something out of context he pick out the part that stuck out the must to him, but without hearing why it was said I was pissed.
This entire thing frightens me because it allows people to be wrongfuly convicted if they like to use metaphors.
The internet I hope will not be controled even more by the government. Yet I believe that in the future we will have more thing on the internet to do but less rights to do them.
Then this will be an interesting new gaming system. It would make it easier for the little guy to get in the games out there. This will be fun to watch.
Hey this is nothing new there is always people trying to pull the strings in the background. I wonder if Mitnick could be called in as a consultant on this case he could clean up on this one.
The
press release from Nokia themselves. I really hopes they come out with something good. Think about it if they let anyone play. This might make this the "next big thing" since anyone can use it and make games for it this will allow more games and with more games more people will be likely to buy.
To do a Free Audit of thier security of thier site. After it is done explain to them you know all about these security risks and would have never put your company at risk like this. I think this is the best approach do not talk to the webmaster(s) go directly to the top guys.
But the only thing I wish I knew about it if it is as dirty as gasoline, how much does it cost to convert the fuel and the miles per hour. If these are answered then we can see if it would really be a good solution.
Becomes a real test case for GPL in this will show people the the FSF takes violations very seriously. I do not think sony will let it get that far though
About This is the not everyone is going to patch thier server some and then cry like a fool when the get hacked. Despite the fact they are many people out there take thier security seriously alot more do not. (I had this happen to a friend where the hosting company did not apply a patch that 6 months old. Well have fun patching and rebooting:)
Problems of customer service has always been a difficult job no matter what industry you are in. I used to do it at grocery store,as a tech at a shipping company and a internet company. It is very difficult to deal with people in general. Also when you add on support problems it gets even worse. This report is not suprising.
Any organization who does this. Has no sense because they will not keep any of thier customers. The customer will find out very quickly who was the rat. Let me think a customer or a microsoft game hmmm tough to decide.
For the right reasons then I do not have a problem with it. If they told their employees that if they have a disposition they will use that information only to help improve the working enviroment then I will say ok that is fine. Yet I do not think this was the case here this was clearly a misuse of their positions. Not genitic testing is bad but the sad part it can be abused in so many ways some think it will be safer just not do it at all.
As a lot of the people who has been using linux for a while. Slackware was the first one that I used. I remember downloading it on to 30 diskettes (I had a lot of AOL diskettes) Slackware will not go anyware alot of people will still support it and use it. Good Luck to you guys
It is good to see yet another country puts it's hat in the space arena. I hope to see more countries to contribute to the program. Main reason I do not want to see just the USA and russia out in space I prefer to hope that "The Next Frontier" will an earth venture not just a few countries.
The FBI was investigating a someone who lived in canada and owned property in florida. Instead of going to the state for the property database they went to a direct marketer that purchased the file from the state. The direct marketer sold the file to the FBI also. Reason they did not want to go through the red of getting the file from the state. Might raise to many flags.
(It would be very nice to see.edu domains that aren't only 4-year colleges, too, so I hope that happens) My older and twin brothers go to this community school http://www.mdcc.edu/ I guess they did not get thier facts straight
That is always been the trade off. I know people who ask why do I have to put a password
everytime I come to work why does it matter? Well it will depend on the job. I seen companies
where someone just walked into the back office the safe was open and left with a few grand.
Why did this happen to the company did not inconvience itself with any security measures.
The more security you have the more inconveinent it is to do things. All you have to do is
measure your how inconvience you are willing to give up vs how much security you want.
People tend To the path of least resistence if this service does what it is promise then microsoft will have a winner there. Like it or not it will be the masses that decide whether this flies ot not. People will buy into this that it is a great way to stream line your life make it easier on yourself of 20 dollars a month we can make your life so much easier. I see alot of peole using this service BECAUSE it is from micro$haft. Well these are my thoughts. Please post different points of views.

I know I will not if I have to give up the
functionality that I am used to.

You got to do it yourself. I am glad to see that the people up there are resourceful these are people who are paving the way of the future.
