Well, obviously. They're needed more desperately in Britain.

And there's nothing wrong with a candidate with vision.

How can he have vision about travelling faster than the speed of light? Isn't that a contradiction?

I dont get it. whenever a company (i.e. warner bros) releases a video/trailer in qt, we all complain since its a proprietary format, and then some1 points out mplayer can play it. Now, when a community-based thing releases a video in almost every format BUT quicktime, we get pissed. I guess thats just slashdot...

"We"? Contrary to popular belief there are a variety of opinions among slashdot's users. Some people hate QT and will complain when there's a trailer in that format. Some people love QT and will complain when there's not a trailer in that format. What's so weird about that?

The petition is addressed to ICANN, not Verisign. ICANN is in a position to order Versign to stop this practice.

I question calling a disease epidemic when it only kills tens out of millions of the local population, but they labelled it

"Epidemic" is a statistical term. It means that there are at least a certain percentage more cases than normal. It has nothing to do with the ratio of infected persons to the population in general
