    1. It takes up too much space.
    2. It is very cluttered, I have trouble distinguishing the lines.
    3. Because distinguishing lines is difficult, I do not get good feedback on whether what I am typing is wrong or right, so it is hard to know when to stop and go back and type it again.
    4. It uses a different logic for matching what you type with the pages it remembers. Maybe I can get used to it, but so far, meh...
    5. In extension of 4, it seems keen on selecting long urls instead of shorter ones for some reason, so if you are looking for the root page of a site it takes longer to search for it, because you get a bunch of deep links instead of the main page.

Since the IDE tools were spun off into a separate company (CodeGear). Things have gotten more and more focused. We use D2007 as our primary delevelopment tool where I work and although from a documentation quality standpoint, it really was released prematurely, things have really improved, with regular updates to both the IDE and help system. It is at a level now where I feel completely comfortable committing to developing with this tool for our future applications.

At the same time CodeGear has released adaptations of their IDE to much hyped languages like PHP and Ruby. The company seems to have a sence of direction again finally.

Lets get this straight, shall we?

There was no new legislation introduced. IFPI complained to the special court called "Fogedretten" which only handles property disputes. A judge from Fogedretten made a ruling based purely on his interpretation of existing Danish IP law and ordered Tele2 to block the site. Also please remember that continental European law differs significantly from what you may be used to in US. We do not use common law. A ruling by Fogedretten does not set precedent, like a ruling in an American court would.

Tele2 announced today that they are challenging the ruling in the city court, which means this will turn into a real court case. They are backed by a common interest board of other Danish ISPs.

The only way this makes sence is if he has used components in his software that he does not own and does not have the right to license under GPL. This makes releasing it under GPL impossible in the first place and invalidates the GPL licence for those version you released anyway. If this is so it is not actually a question of revoking the license, but a question of 'woops I performed copyright infringement by releasing this bit of software'.

To sum up, the problem is readout noise. The faster you read out the CCD, the more noise you get. When you image a faint object the readout noise exceeds the signal level. The reason amature astronomers can use this technique anyway is because they are imaging bright objects (like planets), so the signal is easily discernable from the readout noise.

Now there is a new type of CCD with a built in digital signal multiplier that precedes the readout step in each individual pixel. You can simply select an appropriate multiplier that gives pixel values that fall nicely in the middle of the register width and when you read out the value, any noise can simply be subtracted away because you know that it will be much less than the signal value you are looking at.
