Maybe someone should work on fixing those things that encourages most people to write java improperly. If most people are using it incorrectly, then that points to issues with the language that need to be resolved.
The bank manager doesn't roll around in the vaults of money, laughing at the stupid peasants. Money in a bank account is invested by the bank. It's not static. I'm not even close to being an expert in finance, but when they say Microsoft has billions in cash, they don't have a warehouse full of dollar-sign bags. They money is being indirectly invested by the bank, they just can't invest it long-term in case MS needs immediate access.
Besides all that, what right does anyone have to tell you what you can do with your money. If I want to stuff my mattress with my hard-earned money, you have no right to stop me. Mind your own business. The economy can handle itself, for good or bad.
I'm so tired, I haven't slept a wink I'm so tired, my mind is on the blink I wonder should I get up and fix myself a drink no, no, no.
I'm so tired, I don't know what to do I'm so tired, my mind is set on you I wonder should I call you but I know what you would do
You'd say I'm putting you on but it's no joke, it's doing me harm you know I can't sleep, I can't stop my brain you know it's three weeks, I'm going insane you know I'd give you everything I've got for a little peace of mind.
I'm so tired, I'm feeling so upset Although I'm so tired, I'll have another cigarette and curse Sir Walter Raleigh He was such a stupid get.

Give you everything I've got for a little peace of mind.
I'd give you everything I've got for a little peace of mind.
The latter is silly? It's Apple's business model. They have always been extremely proprietary. They sell apple-only hardware with apple-only software. They need to get a contract a gaming company to write an Mac-specific game that draws in new customers. If you poll Mac users why they bought the latest system, gaming isn't going to show up on the radar. If you want to game, you get a PC or a console.
Once in a while you get a game with OpenGL graphics that's been ported to the Mac, but it's not the common and more often than not the promises fall through. What would you pick if you were a gamer? A PC that is guaranteed to play the games you want, or one that *might* support it, someday, but then again, maybe not because it was too expensive.
The only problem I have with that is some low-level windows programs won't runAs admin. For instance, I've never been able to get Explorer to run as admin from a user account, but other than that it works well.
I try not to with Windows 2000 at home, but if the stupid software companies would get their act together and write their software so that it doesn't need an administrator account to install, or even worse, run, maybe more people would follow recommended practices.
Praise Mozilla (Firefox) for having a single-directory non-administrator install. Intuit (Quicktax) can go to hell...
I'll stop ranting now. Micrsoft didn't help this with their lax security model in 95/98, but 3rd party software isn't helping the situation.
I didn't know that, and it doesn't change anything I wrote because it doesn't really matter. I picked Halo out of the air because Halo sold XBox. What's selling Mac?
Don't blame MS for buying it out of Mac's reach. Blame the company for selling, if you feel the need to blame someone.
To be fair, in my version the Ordinator quest-giver told me that I would be attacked if I wore that armour around them. I have GOTY, so maybe that was a fix.
Your other problems are debatably bugs, but you don't need to play that way if you don't want to. It's not like you're competing with anyone like in a multiplayer game. If you don't want to use the exploits, don't use them. Problem solved.
Cliff racers can be annoying, but they're not as bad as people say. If they are too strong for you, then you shouldn't be out in the forest. After that, they're great fodder for building marksmanship, enchant, etc.. skills.
Microsoft is successful because you can work and play on the same machine. Mac used to have the multimedia niche, but that gap has been closed. The most common lament I hear on/. (about Mac)is that there's no port of a specific game.
Make a Mac-only game with the same 12-year old boy appeal as Halo, and you might sell yourself some Macs.
Not so. I discovered this on a Windows 98 machine that only had a 2-button mouse (Firebird 0.5 I believe, with Mozgest if that matters). My first instinct was to try the double-button click from X and it worked.
But if your mailserver accepts the mail and then sometimes just deletes it
That's exactly what it does. Nobody gets notification (except a helpdesk log, if I ask). They swallow all email company-wide, and spit out everything it determines to be SPAM. Essentially, it's all/dev/null to them at that point.
I complained and asked for a pass-through or at least some notification, but couldn't with this system. Other have complained as well, so I'm not the only one noticing.
Or just use a coping saw (copied from an online transcript) :
MAX
The chain in those hand cuffs,is high tensile steel. It'll take you ten minutes to hack through it with this,(he drops a coping saw)now if your lucky, you can hack through your anckle in five minutes.Go.
My company blocks spam at the firewall level, which becomes tedious when emails sent to me mysteriously disappear. Sometimes they're personal emails with "Free Beer!" in the subject, but other times there's no obvious reason why a message might be eaten.
The biggest problem with all this is that we get no notification that something was blocked. I find out later when someone asks why I havent responded. That, and my never having received a single spam at this address, even in the years before the front-end filter. Others complained, but I never posted my work email to public newsgroups either.
Taking a camcorder into a theater is breaking the law.
There is no law against bringing a camcorder to the movie theatre. Only the theatre's policy is broken. It's the same as taking a dog into a mall where there is a sign that says "No Dogs Allowed".
To caveat this, there may actually be a law in some jurisdictions, but it's a stupid law if so. This is a civil dispute. No more, no less.
Of course, IANAL, so I'm just talking out of my ass.
I read your post, and what I said stands: Obesity is the symptom of behavior, nothing more, unless someone shows proof otherwise. Coughing is a symptom of a cold. When you're coughing your body is in an "ill state", but the symptom is not the illness.
Whatever labels we put on this, I completely agree that the easy way out is the wrong thing to do--I never encouraged the drugs. It may be a good start for some, but most won't change their ways.
And just what illness is overeating? Obesity is the symptom of too much food and too little exercise. Stop kidding yourself that it's anything else.
Put down the diet Coke and the low-fat pork rinds. Try eating a balanced diet of reasonably-healthy foods (you know what they are) and get some exercise. You like competitive games? Play a sport. You like masterbating? Wear weighted wristbands and alternate hands. Try to incorporate a little extra effort into your basic daily life.
Just stop telling me that obesity is a disease or an illness or hereditary unless you've got the research to prove it.
You're crazy! It's got Bill Maher.

As soonm as they sort out that waterproofing issue, we'll be all set.

I'm only half joking...

If your mouse has only two buttons, clicking both at the same time may work as well.

Other countries like Canada?

That's what hotmail is for.
If you do want to try it, make sure someone sends your story here so we can all enjoy.
One of the most famous imaginary worlds was created by a mathematician, independant of him being a possible pedophile.
Write to your representative and tell them how stupid this is.
