After Baldurs Gate 1+2(and expansions), Icewind Dale and Planescape: Torment, NeverWinter Nights -- even with a different engine -- just didn't feel new. Still it was fun until my unarmed strike monk couldn't touch the final boss.
I don't blame them, not to mention some doubt has been raised as to the accuracy of these articles, but if an Apple spokesperson is going to go on the record like that, then I do believe the company should take responsibility.
