    we do this at the board level on h/w all the time when manufacturing h/w (PC boards, graphics carss etc.). If a failure is not obvious or intermittent you change things until it is fully broken and easier to find and fix. It is especially useful in engineering investigations.

    that you are pushing a technology that has flaws and you can't demo it because of the flaws. Maybe isn't the solve all problems solution that some think it is, unless you live in a sunny place. Change to something that is relevant for the area, not something that they will see has no impact on them.

    First thought that came to my minds was, if we can slow light down, i wonder if one day we could speed it up..... Isn't that crazy. If we could increase the speed of light could we travel faster ? Sound travels at a specific speed, but we can speed it up.

    The best way to get a young kid to do anything is to tell them they are not alowed to do it. How many smoke because they are told it is bad ? As soon as they find out it is bad they want ot know why so they try it. I think this will make the problem worse.

    the prices listed in the article are WRONG !! CD-R's are only 5.2 cents. Unless you are dumb enough to buy Audio only cd-rs.     funny.... I used the words "could it be" but you still say I jumped to a conclusion.... I was simply offering another option.
    Here is another, often in cutting edge projects the employee knows more about the substances being used than the employers. Maybe it was their responcibility to ensure the management knew the risks involved.

    Could it be the workers fault ?? I know here where i work many safty procedures are in place, including masks for some substances but rarely do I see people using them.
    All the time I see people breathing fumes, will they one day turn around and sue ?? Probably. People are trained, equipment is offered free, people ignore the rules, people sue.

    What if I touch a gun and 5 min later you kill someone with it. They might find my DNA but your fingerprints. If they are really good they will find both sources. Seems like resonable doubt to me. If they just go by finger print, closed case. Guess what I am saying is that they might find a bunch of DNA and have to release guilty people.
