The keykatcher is hardware dongle-like thing, looks like an elongated keyboard plug. And all it does is keeps the last 65K of keystrokes you've typed.
So, the truly paranoid person now has to cut-n-paste bits of their password with the mouse
The Informed paranoid can use the On-Screen Keyboard, should come with most flavours of windows (Start, Programs, Accessories, Accessibility, On-Screen Keyboard). Of course, if you aren't using Windows then you should know where to get an equivalent for your OS.
I have a suspicion that any advanced galatic civilization, realizing the nature of expansionistic species, broadcasts instructions on how to blow yourself up
That would've made an interesting ending for Jodie Foster in "Contact". Imagine the world holding it's breath to see what the big alien machine will do, then they drop her in, and then.... BANG!
One planet-devouring black hole comin' right up.
When you don't have all day to play a game, titles like Total Annihilation are great fun. MM is great for the hardcore (or obsessive-compulsive:) crowd, but few titles have combined smart AI and playability with decent automanagement.
I'm looking forward to getting Ground Control 2, where I can appreciate all the little things that I am allowed to do in-game, but don't have to. Seriously, based on the demo, it's sweeet. It's getting my cash money.
Wow. Using whats in GitS as a base, how long till it becomes thermoptic-camo, masking the ir and thermal signtaure as well?
Quite a long while, I'd say. First the whole "projection" thing has to be dumped, then multiple cameras have to observe the full environment around the cloaking material, then this material has to be both flexible and capable of emitting bright light in all (hemispheric) directions simultaneously, and in high enough resolution be undistinguishable from the background. Not Easy.
game developers are tired of Sony's dominance in the market
I didn't know that developers would get tired of developing games on the most ubiquitous home videogame system. It's usually the best way to make a profit.
Damn straight, the L.A. version had its moments but the cartoon has much tighter editing and freedom to do really weird stuff, like PigLeg (The Deadly Bulb).
Freakazoid needs a mention too... who doesn't love surreal humour?
IANAMetallurgist, but I'd pay serious money for a life-size Soul Reaver. There's plenty of reference pictures to go off, maybe Crystal Dynamics would be kind enough to provide the 3D model from LoK:Defiance... I'm going to see if I can make this happen.
Anybody who could help me part from my money is welcome to contact me. Particularly if you're a blacksmith.
