While you're about to get modded to "-1, Blasphemy", I have to applaud your wisdom and enlightenment.
The MS Natural Keyboard pro is without a doubt the best keyboard I've ever used. I've got a Natural Keyboard pro at home, and a Natural Keyboard elite at work (but sadly, that's where they started reorganizing the insert-block).
The Natural Keyboard, along with Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 or Intellimouse 1.1 are some of the best peripherals ever made.
where gay politicians get assasinated for being gay,
Is it better when politicians get assassinated for being... politicians?
where there will be more mosques than churches in 22 years,
Either is worthless in my eyes.
where holocaust deniers get equal air time in order to show "both sides of the issue",

where bombs go off on subways,
Sure beats having airplanes fly into public buildings
where the laws don't provide close to the level of protection for individual rights as in the US,
Where we (most of the time) don't NEED laws to provide a level of protection (then again, it seems the US government doesn't really care about those aforementioned laws)
where there will be only 40% of the current workforce in only 20 years (!!!)
I sure intend to do my part! I'm working on being a millionaire within 20 years:P
Who says my reply was aimed at the parent poster, rather than the gaming community as a whole? I simply found someone pointing out an interesting fact, and decided to further his comments with my own.
It seems "everyone" is bitching about nintendo only doing games for kids.
Yes, but Nintendo games are made for kids, aren't they? *rolleyes* I mean, having a look at the top 30, we see Mario Bros.. that's about as much of a kid-title as the Giana Sisters. Ocarina of Time was also quite the fairytale, what with all the cute and cuddly dragons, spiders and all. Tetris? Does it get any more child-friendly than sharp blocks falling down to smash the ground? Mario 64 was somewhat child-friendly though, but that's negated by the mind-eating enemies in Super Metroid.
Link to the Past was very nice - except you deal with lots of tragical events like your uncle dying in the first five minutes of the game..
Nothing kiddy about Chrono Trigger imo, so we jump straight onto Mario Kart! While it is a child-friendly title, I've never seen anyone have more fun than a bunch of drunken adults playing it.
Super Mario Bros 3? FF IV? Golden Eye?
No, I'm sorry. I just can't understand the people complaining that Nintendo only publish kiddy-games.
Just let me know when I can pre-order the Revolution, and I'll be happy.
I had the privilege to have a linux hacker sitting next to me. (well, at that time, anyone who could use Linux and GNU tools for anything was a hacker)
Does that make me a hacker?
Back in '97 (september iirc), i got to borrow a set of redhat 4.2 discs.
Installed my own little linux desktop at home, complete with my own compile of apache and sendmail.
To tell you the truth, not all that much has chanced since then.
Sure, RPMHell isn't what it used to be (in fact, it's nicer to deal with these days).
A bunch of core-libs have been updated (glibc vs. libc etc).
Even so,
I'm still only using linux for servers, and it's far far away from my desktops.
p.s, i'm drunk atm, so if something of the above doesn't make sense, please ignore it and mod me +1 , Drunken Stupor.
On a sidenote, I'm not sure that this fellow is a very skilled English speaker. His sentences are occasionally worded in an awkward manner, which leads me to believe he might not speak English natively.
Some would argue that the above goes for our beloved editors as well..:P
You try contacting abuse@ the other company. If that fails, you call them up and ask for their tech-lead.
You already have your logfiles, and reasonably secured server. What you can gain here is a partnership - or at least an exchange of favors every now and then - between your company and the remote one.
That said, if the other company isn't responsive, you firewall them to hell and get on with your daily work.
You'll want to give management a brief notice about what's happening before you do this, obviously. After you've talked to abuse@, you tell management what happened.
Now is the time to see over your authentication schemes. Are your users logging in over SSH? With passwords instead of keys? (Hint: keys are nicer).
After this is said and done, you paypal me $90 for doing your job. Cheers!
I dunno, I just don't see why the tivo-like functionality added with e.g. CenterStage will be obsolete with a platform change. As long as I can network more storage to it, I'll be content with using it as a media center.
It seems CNN has been going slightly downhill as of late.
In regards to the killing in London last friday, they had an article up saying: Friday's shooting is a rarity in London, where police generally are not armed except for special response units. (emphasis mine)
Of course it's a rarity! They can't very well kill the guy twice, can they?
Even I would phrase it something along the lines of "Shootings like the one last Friday are a rarity in London.."
Looking back at all the posts lamenting how everyone and their grandma would buy a Mini if only it had slightly higher specs, apple should be seeing a whole lot of purchases from the slashdot crowd.
The reason for chosing OSX is pretty simple. If you're going to crash, you get a rather soothing message on your windshield, saying something went wrong.
On the plus side, if you're running with classic mode enabled, you also get a sadface prior to when all hell breaks loose.
Point him in the direction of slashdot!
GASP! You've stol^H^H^H^Hcopied our codebase?
Prepare to be sued into the next millenium!

Imo, the retailers were first.
You know, that whole deal where you're supposed to mail in a coupon.. without "the post office lost it" "incidents".
Oh my, it seems you posted a very 'contraversial' post - what with it getting modded to +1, Flamebait and all.

I enjoyed it a lot.

$3b is a lot but Skype has a large and loyal user base.
Bingo.
Skype is also a wet dream for corporations.
We've recently been told that we need to replace the entire phone-system in the building, or take over maintenance of the old exchange.
That's something we're not willing to do, as it would cost us too much.
Instead, we'll be evaluating going with skypeout/skypein for everyone at the office.
Very low cost, very good quality - provided you have the bandwidth for it.
The software works remarkably well and is probably one of the most innovative web applications ever.
I dunno, I remember myWebOS - do you?
myWebOS screenie. This was back in '00 or so.

I hear there's a great solution for SPS! Google for "v1@gr4" and you should find a bunch of results.
Get your linux license framed and mounted on the wall so potential customers can see you're not a thief.

Oh well, Offtopic, but it's MY offtopic post!
Increased memory, check.
Slight CPU jump, check.
Updated graphics card, check.
